I'm working on a Doom Project with a friend some of you know. The project is called Doom: Chronicles of Hell. I am doing some of the graphics such as spriting enemies and weapons. I am also doing whatever 3D models I can, considering that there are only a limited number of 3D compatible actors implemented. However, I am also doing all of the music for it. Here only five of a shitload of midis I've made for it. If your MIDI output sucks... Sucks to be you. xP
Cthulhu Battle Music - Mini Boss Music Darkness Dawning - The Apathetic - Level Music Hell Troops Mobilization - End Level Music The Sorrowing Hallow - Level Music Unrevealed Darkness - Level Music My goal is to make music that sounds good for the player... so anything that sounds just slightly weird, or could be better I would appreciate if was noted here. I would also like to know exactly what you think of when you listen to this music. That would help me map the music in relation to the levels better. ____________________ |

The Cthulhu Battle Music needs to be a lot creepier. We are talking about The Old Ones for crying out loud. ____________________ What FF7: Advent Children Character Are You? |

Posted by Koitenshin -∞ The cut scene will be 'creepy'. As for the actual battle, I feel tense music will fit the mood... on account that Cthulhu is fucking giant, I don't think soft scary music will display Cthulhu as all that hard to beat. Shadic: I use a small program that's easy to use, called Anvil Studio. Also note that I intentionally tried to keep these sounding as 'classic' as I could as to not ruin the originality that Doom created. ____________________ |

Hey, I have Anvil Studio! These just prove I suck at composing, oh well. They overall sound nice, though the Cthulhu music seems to have too much empty space of just the background drum things, I'd expect a fight with something fucking huge to have less ambience stuff and more action, although it is quite well done overall, it just seems to me the pauses are a bit too long. It might work better in-game though, it's not like I can have a perfect image of what this will be, I'm not the one designing it. ____________________ There are things I want to put here. Like a cool picture, my 8-bit theatre character test result, my MS and RO characters... But it's 12 AM, and I'm sleepy. |

Well, you gotta admit that my Cthulhu music beats Icon of Sin.
Thanks for the comments though. I'll see what I can do to make the Cthulhu music more exciting. xP ____________________ |
