I planned to start learning Japanese this last summer, but never really found the time for it... And I didn't really care for the books I bought (Japanese for Busy People).

I'm planning on giving it another shot this summer, with the much more recommended Genki.

What reason is there to learn japanse?

Apart from understanding Japanse media (manga/anime/hentaistuff/some stupid gameshow you find on youtube).

I used to be pretty in to the culture, I absolutely love the music, and it would be awesome if I could write music for videogames or even other Japanese artists one day.
