Yeah, so, I'll give a little background to this before I put it up. I never liked writing poetry. I couldn't do it at all. I could honestly sit for hours and not be able to think of a single line. I met this girl, and for God knows what reason it just hit me and well, not all of it was poetry, but I started writing things, and they came to me easily. I'm not sure how good any of them are, but I'll show you guys one of them.
I guess it all started, I felt the deepest emotions for this girl, even though I know nothing is going to happen now. It hurts worse than anything I've ever felt, but I'm still going on. I wrote this about her, only took about 2 or 3 minutes, but I wrote it as it came to mind. It's short and sweet I guess. I call it, Blue and True, just a simple name cuz I've never been the greatest at naming things. Here it is. The look in your eyes, so deep and blue. The purity of your heart, so deep and true. My love will always be there, just for you. Like I said, short. Tell me what you think. |

While that qualifies, have you ever considered making it longer? Like a page long longer?
Pretty much any kid can figure out three lines as long as they sound good and they rhyme.  |

Pretty nice, you should write Haiku's. I agree with the length issue, but I'm sure you can think of something to fill in  |
