I'm trying to use Project 64 on my WinXP PC to play games such as Paper Mario, F-Zero X, etc, but I can't seem to get the graphics to work right. I would like to know which plugin I should use, and which settings. My graphics card is a Nvidia Riva TNT 2 Model 64 Pro. |

Posted by BriGuy92 Paper mario has glitchy graphics when run in emulators so far. It'll flash at random times. As for F-Zero X, I heard about come glitchy graphics. Is this seriously nothing showing up or just some glitch problems like I mentioned? ? ____________________ |

TNT2? Good luck getting anything to run with no graphics errors, because this card is very old. If you want to experience gaming with no GFX bugs you should consider upgrading. |

I would say F-Zero has some glitchy graphics, as in some of the colors don't work right (Blue Falcon, for example, is shown completely black. Always. Except for in the ending sequence.) But in PM, some of the sprites are completely missing. (Bowser in the first battle, for instance.) Yeah, I know the card is an old one, but I really don't have the money for a new one. Maybe a new ram stick would help... |

The best I can say is look for an early Jabo plugin... or try to find one specifically for older graphics cards. ____________________ |

Augh.
Old card you got there. To fix that awful flickering, Rice's Video Plugin should do the trick. But yea, do us all a favor and load up a copy of Mario 64 and Conker and see if Mario/Conker are discolored. If so, your graphics card sucks and good luck playing anything with it. ____________________ I miss post headers more. |

If your graphics card is too old, you can probably find one for less than $20.00 now |

I have yet to see an N64 Emulator or plugin that renders everything correctly.. And I consider this a bit odd since the PSX has been near flawlessly emulated for quite awhile now in comparison. Many popular games like Paper Mario just have.. problems.. Enough so that I just don't feel like bothering with it. |

I've used 1.7.
I don't like it for a multitude of reasons, the most prominent one being the fact that it has errors out the ass. ____________________ I miss post headers more. |

Posted by Sonicandfails About the flickering, (In F-Zero, that is) I just switched to the most recent (oddly enough) version of Jabo's D3D. But Rice's, you say? I'll try it. |

Well, Geforce3 was nice enough for Project 64... as long I didn't run Goldeneye. So I think a Geforce 2 will be fine. Infact, I think powerful CPU is more important than a powerful PPU for the emulation... but i'm not sure. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org
