- Ragnarok Online since about 3 years (played enough to get 1GB worth of screenshots  ) ... all on private servers though, generally at medium rates (like 15-20x)
- Maple Story, which was fun would probably need at least 100x rates to be really enjoyable for me (I gave up at 24 when it already took a day per level) - Trickster for about a week, that was nice and not too slow but I hated the lag (stopped at 88) I've been into Gunbound for a good while too but that's not a RPG  ____________________ |

I feel your pain about lag.
Myth War is called MythLag by some (on the Missouri server, I don't know about the other 3). And is MapleStory really that good? I may have to give it a try... (OMG I GOT ACMLM THE ADMIN TO POST IN MY THREAD!) ^ This never happens on other boards. The Admins tend to ignore low-rank posters. |

The biggest problem with Maple story, is the variable fun level, it starts grindy, thats a problem, it should never start grindy, (but Ragnarok does that too, it's just that we all play private servers) then gets fun, then gets grindy again, etc. The longer you play the game, it gets better(I'm having much more fun at level 25 then at level 8 when I first classed to magician), but of course, you need to deal with all the grinding to get to that point. I did recently start playing it again, and there are times when I've enjoyed myself, and others when I've said "When will it end?" The important thing is to have a goal other than grinding, it really needs more quests that are more than fetch quests. I think Guild Wars did it right with it's missions, they're fun, variable, and you do them with people. Like the MS party quests, sort of, and there are about 20 of them(little less I think) as opposed to 2. ____________________ There are things I want to put here. ps more people join please ;( other than that, i've played lots of random ro servers, gunbound, and maple story. ...god maple story was bad. |

Out of curiosity, how far were you into maple story when you quit? I'm playing it right now, and while the beggining was hell, it seems to be picking up(level 28). Am I going to hit a sudden drop soon or did you quit before this? ____________________ There are things I want to put here. Tried a few here and there. I'm not into MMOs much either.
WoW (on haitus until I deposit money to use it) Flyff Guild Wars (Factions was free bundled with hardware, don't have Nightfall yet) Maplestory Everquest II (just the demo disc) Perhaps some others I forgot about I've played Phantasy Star Universe and Diablo II offline, but not in multiplayer. ____________________  |

maplestory, but I'm only level 16... and I don't play much anymore
nothing else cept randomly scroll through boards I've joined, and slowly make really good looking custom pipe gfx that only use the origional palette for SMW I play gunbound once and a while too ____________________ |

Currently Playing: Maple Story. You either like this game or you don't. I like it.
The trick to enjoying this game is to go to the least crowded channel, to avoid the jerks. Used to play: Kingdom of loathing. I started regularly, then I found out how to get a lot of money, then I found out how to get more. I tried to get even more, but it backfired and I lost most of my money. I had over 20,000,000 meat. |

Posted by The Red Snifit Well, you need to deal with those jerks if you want to do the party quest, which is quite fun, aside from when your party consists of the mentally retarded. You would not believe how stupid some of these people are. We walked this one guy through the way to do the "puzzles"(I really can't call them this, but to some, they are.), every time we did the quest, he needed it explained to him, again. And the leader didn't help by jumping around randomly, trying to draw attention to his offers to sell his party members crap. Of course, for every bad party, there is a good party.
