I play the flute, and I also own an acoustic guitar. Not very good at the latter, but I can play a few songs.

lol blank cell
I play a mean Vibra Slap.

In all seriousness, I can play (in order of quality): Trumpet, French Horn, Mellophone, Piano, and Baritone. I hate bigger mouthpieces, hence why now I'm mostly a French Horn player.

Also, bass clef is a bitch to read if you grew up learning treble clef. I can read it, it just takes me an extra second to figure out the notes.

Aha...finally posting again...Don't know why I stopped though

So yeah. The flute, but...not so good anymore. I mean, I can play it, but I'm a little off when it comes to keys and notes, since I haven't really played one in a while.

I have considered picking up an instrument should my hearing improve again. If it doesn't I won't bother. Not being able to hear well at all out of my right ear just makes playing much more difficult given my lack of proficiency and inadequate proper training.

Do drums and mallets count as different instruments?

Ok, well, first started piano with 6, then violin with 9, drums with 12, mallets at the same time with drums, and Tamburica (Celo) with 12 or 13. I'm also trying to learn playing the accordion for some time already. Since piano and keyboard are almost the same instruments, I may say I can play the keyboard quite well too. My brother can play the guitar very good, and I hope he'll teach me sometime.
Since I'm still 14, I hope to learn some more instruments, before... well... I'm too old to learn.

Also, Keitaro, the word is spelled 'Glockenspiel' (it comes from German and it means 'bell game', if you translate the words by themselves)

But at least, unlike many drummers, I know my base clef.

You just one-upped me.

Hey, it's nothing personal. It's just that when you play the timpani drums all the time, learning the bass clef is a necessity.

...

Also, it seems like an awful lot of Juniors and Seniors at my school can play guitar and piano. One of them told me that most of them just have their "one song" they can play, but still. It sort of makes me want to try learning a new instrument. I don't think piano would be too difficult for me because before I played timpani, I usually played the bells/xylophone.

I can play Mary's Little Lamb on the flute.

When I was like 6. It was my sister's flute.

I feel I've mastered music.

Needing new strings is arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I hate having to change strings.

(As for random songs I'm learning: Prelude in D Minor by JS Bach, Kissing the Shadows by Children of Bodom)

First one to get better at classical guitar, the other one, well it's fun.

I started piano when I was four, guitar when I was eight. I'm going to sound like an egotistical bastage, but I'm a skilled pianist. The instrument fits me quite well, and I've been steadily practicing over the years. I can cover certain Tori Amos songs ("Carbon" and "Winter" are my best) accurately (not 100% - I learn them by ear - but the arrangements are similar in complexity and overall effect). I compose music, and my own arrangements are pretty complex. It's easiest to lump my style under the vast umbrella of alternative piano rock. I love catchy chord progressions and melodies, and everything I write has to sound unique and grab me. This is why it takes me so damn long to finish anything. Oh yeah, and my awesome friend Anna who took high level lessons for YEARS and sounds like a for real concert pianist when she practices? She likes my piano playing. That counts for something.

My guitar is intermediate at best, especially because I've been hella lazy about practicing. My brain just doesn't wrap itself around blistering solos, but I can do a good job at songs like "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac.

I got a guitar on my 15th birthday, and played obsessively for about 3 years. I slack badly anymore, though.

Here's some crap I've (poorly) written/recorded:

About a Girl (Nirvana Cover)

Promise

Shallow Breaths

Buck

I also do video game music, some of which I posted in Modern Art a few days ago.

I've been playing the piano since 1994. My mum forced me into it or something, I was 7 and I don't quite remember the details. I started to play the guitar earlier this year just for some fun, it is fun, but I'm a lazy student thus I lack any form of motivation.

I've been playing the Piano (keyboard to be exact) since about 2004, and am doing grade 3 at the moment. I'd probably do something more fun, such as drums, but Final Fantasy X opening music is tempting me.

I can play the flute pretty well I guess for my age, and guitar pretty well for having played it for only a year. I can 'shred' with sixteenth note triplets and not too many string changes, and I've never bothered to learn chords, but I seem to pick them up fast enough. Still, I'm constantly saddened by my lack of guitar sound stylization. Trying to find the right amount of vibrato on what notes, trying to 100% hit every note, trying to bend perfectly a half step, trying to get everything timed right... ahh!

I seriously want to learn trombone, piano, sax, and drums.

oh I also started out on bass (for two months) and am better than alot of people that have played bass for longer than I've played guitar ...but I hate the instrument, so it really all amounts to nothing... haha.

I used to be good at piano. Not really really good, but good enough.

I recorded some songs, but my keyboard and computer (with the recorded files on it) broke in the same week, and that crushed my spirit. Didn't touch a keyboard again for three or four years, I totally can't play anymore.

So I'm learning guitar instead. Acoustic guitar. I mostly just teach myself music from video games. I'm not all that great yet but I think I'm pretty cool. Barre chords hurt.
