I can play the piano fairly well (though I stopped taking classes like three years ago now), and used to play the accordion back in elementary school, however I don't really know how much is left of that. Other than that, I found I can grasp instruments I previously was unfamiliar with (guitars, flutes) on a basic level quite fast...
As for sheet music, I always have been much better at playing things by ear. As bad as my memory for "hard facts" and about anything else is, as ridiculously good is my memory of melodies. Even for things I heard only once or twice at age three, there is a good chance I still can recall them.

I'm able to play the stand-up bass too, but not that well.

In addition, I can also play guiter... just not well either.

When I was younger, I took piano lessons, but I'll be damned if I can remenber any of it. I do have a keyboard I mess around on every once in a while, but I'm not an uber piano player or anything.

I want to play the steel drums!

I also got a keyboard for Christmas of 2005, that I lent to a friend of my brother's last October, and I still haven't gotten back. Never really got into that either...

I am actually first chair, state percussionist, High School level. I also received and exemplary award (given to only two percussionists in the state) playing a college level piece.

Being a freshman and playing at college level is something to be a little proud of, I guess.

I also really enjoy playing the piano. I envy those here who can, for I cannot very well. Mallets are my weak point. They are fun to play, however, just not my thing. xP

I also tried playing Alto Sax back in 4th grade. I moved later the next year and decided to join percussion at my new school. What a success.

I plan on being a freelance session drummer as a career in the future. And, that actually wouldn't be very hard to achieve. You really only need to be good and know how to advertise yourself. If that fails I have other things to fall back on, so I'm not completely unprepared.

With my school band I've played alto sax (freshman year-half of sophomore), marimba (second half of sophomore year-now), and trombone (very recently, only because we either needed brass coverage (it's hard with only 25 people!) or because marching in a parade basically calls for a more portable instrument). I really want to try trumpet though.

I also kinda sorta play baritone with a sort of introductory program to the CT Hurricanes (drum corps). They just replaced their entire horn line with ones in Bb, but ours are in G
