I made a palette change of the Soldier RTP BattleCharset to make him into a Necromancer. However, in gameplay, the default cyan in the background of every other BattleCharset shows up on him as a box around him. It's really quite ugly, and it makes no sense, since it even shares the same hex color values as the other BattleCharsets.
Someone please help me, I'm getting very frustrated.
Thanks.
...
Oh, BTW: Here's the source for my BattleCharsets; might be some help to those trying to help me (if anyone even decides to do anything about it, lol).
Thanks, guys.
Part 1
Part 2

Don't know if this should even go here....

I never actually used RPG Maker 2003, only XP. But when importing your character images, there should be a button or option, that allows you to select the"Transparent" color. By selecting the cyan background, you are making all cyan pixels invisible.

How are you importing your images into RPG Maker?

I open a battlecharset in Photoshop, fuck with the colors, save it as in indexed image with the same default Cyan as allllll the other battlecharsets, and save it in the battlecharsets folder as "necromancer-m-01". I open the RTP Database in the program itself, and go to the Animations 2 tab, make more places for classes, select the battlecharset i want (necromancer), and assign the poses to the respective animations. No button to select transparency ever came up; there's not even an "Import" button or drop down menu, or anything that I can see...

You don't save it directly to the folder. Atleast, that doesn't do the neccesary importing stuff, you can put it wherever the hell you want, but to get it in correctly, go to tools and select resource manager, Then go to the correct category, and click import, select your file, and when the screen that shows you what it looks like shows up, click the color you want to be the transparent color, it'll start flashing.

You could also click the resource manager icon on the toolbar, but I don't think I could describe the way it looks that well, it's just easier to point to it on the tools menu where you'll see the icon anyway.

There are things I want to put here. Like a cool picture, my 8-bit theatre character test result, my MS and RO characters... But it's 12 AM, and I'm sleepy.

He-hey! That works great! Thanks a lot.
I can figure out how to make random items come from a single usable item, make a FFVI Tool System, but can't seem to do the simplest of things.

If anyone would like some of my little pointers for their own RM2k/RM2k3 endeavors, I'll be happy to share what I know.
