So, I graduated today. Yahoo? I didn't see a general thread on graduation yet (if there is one then by all means trash this, my apologies), so I figured, why not make one? ;x Anyone else graduating soon? Or already?

I graduated for two years ago from secondary upper school.

Give me another year, and I will have graduated from college/university.

I will be graduating high school next year, and then I'll start looking for a decent university in Germany

I still have one more year left of high school before graduation. However, it'll come by fast. The last few school years have gone by pretty fast for me.

Why Germany of all countries?

I'll be graduating next year myself, and then start looking for a decent university somewhere else than Germany.

I graduate tomorrow. I'm so happy I no longer have to deal with high school.

College, on the other hand...

But first things first after I graduate: get a job.

I can't believe it's been five years since I've graduated. Honestly, it's been a lot easier for myself since then. :\

I graduated from high school in 2005. I would never go back to that time of my life. Everything from early 2004 to mid-2005 was hell.

I will be graduating from university hopefully in December 2009. I don't plan on attending any dopey ceremonies, just gimme my damn degree. I was the same way with HS, I just picked up my diploma afterward.

Graduation is for losers who don't have their GED.

I had to go through my gradumutation ceremony and I was embarassed as hell to be paired up with the (mostly) idiots that I went with. I honestly have no ties to the class I graduated with. I do, however, have ties to class that graduated before and after I did (oddly enough). Heck, my best friend in the whole wide world's older than I am but graduated a year later. Stupid schools.

Least I can say I got that much out of high school, among a few very sparing things. I will say to those graduating that your life's not even started until you see what there is out on your own. Everything's not set by the school ciriculum anymore, it's set by yours. Course, if you have an actual work ethic (which I'm sure most people here are HEAVY procrastinators) then it won't be that bad for you.

I will say that my salutatorian AND my valedictorian are NOT well off right now because of that. Just something to keep in mind that things do get a bit more serious but it does end up getting a hell of a lot better once you settle into the rest of the stage that's called life.

Fuck, I should've been valedictorian instead of graduating 4th. That would've been an easy minute speech that the idiot has to give that no one ever seems to do decent research on. Hell, I think I recall one cited off the entire thing of 'Oh the Places You'll Go' by Dr. Seuss and didn't do a damned thing otherwise.

It's like 'geezus cripes, try at least ya know?' but whatever...

I doubt I'd ever go to mine. They'd have to be nuts to look me up. Besides, no one from that class knows where I am anyways.

I'd never go to a reunion. It'd involve traveling to the hated redneck town I grew up in, and I hope to be thousands of kilometres away from Michigan 10 years after graduation. I don't associate with anyone from there anymore except for two people who go to the same university as me. (Even then, I haven't seen one around in forever.)

That's the nice thing about a GED; no shitty reunions or such bullshit to look foward to (with dread).

I was almost expelled from high school in 2002...if I was, I would have gotten a GED as well, if my dad didn't kill me.

What's so bad about a GED? It's better than sitting four years in prision learning jack shit.

Well, my dad wouldn't have let me drop out or anything. He's very strict, has been in the military for 36 years, has the strongest work ethic of anyone ever, etc. So the only way I could have gotten a GED instead of high school would have been if I was expelled.

Your father is an idiot. I recommend moving away immediately.
