Starcraft was THE game that pulled me away from my Nintendo 64 and kept me hooked. It introduced me to PC gaming, battle.net showed me the wonders of online play and I finally found out what exactly an RTS was.

What I find funny about that is that Starcraft got me away from PC gaming and I started playing the N64 way more. I still have my Starcraft 64 cart.
It wasn't until later that I got the computer version.

So far the game doesn't seem that different from it's prequel in the few screenshot and videos I seen. Sure they might be afraid of screwing up a formula that works but...

1) Nothing like the previous games, and craptacular at the same time (Warcraft III, WoW)
2) The same game with slightly better graphics.

Then again, the nukes in SC2 look like firecrackers. NUCLEAR LAUNCH DETECTED is more threatening than the damn actual nuke is. They don't deserve to be called Nukes.

Give me Supcom Nukes anyday.

Blizzard hasn't made anything original since the nineties. They create interesting universes, but they need to actually create something new rather than whoring out all their old games. Again. I want to like Blizzard, they did interesting stuff back in the nineties but they give me no reason to like them nowadays.

Broodwar's ending needed something else. Let's say it wasn't the best ending ever.

It needed the sequel. Even after 9-10 years.
