Thoughts? Its been about two days since the beta went live. Tonight was my first night playing, and since I'm not that good at Halo (hopefully this'll change) I'm having a lot of fun thus far. All I've been doing is playing with the guys from work.


BTW, any tips on how to get better at Halo? I've been playing the campaign on Halo 2 off and on to practice.

Halo 2 was fun, but I can't see myself buying 3 any time soon, as much as i know it's going to kick ass online :/

I haven't played it yer, nor do I have an Xbox 360. I'm sure I'll play it eventually, but it's not like I'm dying to try it out or anything.

Besides, I'm terrible at Halo anyway (mostly do to not playing it very much at all).

Mind you, I'm regarded as a pretty good Halo player once I'm in my groove (that is being a bastard and sticking everything that moves). I really want to try some of the new shit out in the game, it looks like there is a lot of promise in it. Too bad there is no way in hell I can afford a 360 right now

I really suck at Halo. I just started to play it about two months ago. I'm a bit nervous playing against other people, but I want to get better at the game, and I guess that's the only way. I don't mind playing against people I know, b/c we're all just having fun and I don't care if I only get 2-6 kills.

Scratch that..22 kills.

Last view: 5938 days 		Halo 2 is easy to get good at. All you do is learn how to chuck grenades very liberally and master close combat. That way when you play other people who are new, or people like me that are nominally skilled but cocky, you can corner them and just pwn them. Depends on the map, though.

Also, master Battle Rifle. I find it to be the greatest gun in the game because it is just so easy to get kills with.

My buddy Chincey sucked when he first started playing Halo. He is a bit of a one trick pony, but when you're out of practise he is a headache. He'll just rush you with SMG/PP and 'nades and get you if you're not being careful. Fuck strategy he says.

Last view: 5215 days 		I'll probably end up never playing the beta, because no one I know has a 360 or Crackdown. Hopefully Halo 3 will be released on PC at some point, so I can play it then.

Also, I'm pretty good at Halo 2, I can kick my friends asses on it easily. Battle Rifle, Plasma Grenades, and the Plasma Sword are all I need. If I'm on Coagulation, I just use the Ghosts in the area and splatter them

I got the beta too. I still prefer Gears of War online to any of the Halos, but it's still fairly enjoyable.

I tried to get into a ranked match with my friends on Live, but it won't let me. It'll only allow a social match.
