Ah, 2002.
Hmm...who -did- I use when I played that game? Mature always won for being 10x better than Vice, generally, so I used her. Andy usually won out over me using Terry like every other player on the planet. I'd agree on using Kula. Hmm...who else... Yuri I tended to overuse out of principle. Vanessa was just kickass. Shermie was fun just to catch people off-guard with. I tended to dip in my skills after those. King was nice but, as far as I know, she's not in '02. Sides, she was better in '97 or '98. EDIT: OH, so THAT'S what his avatar is about... |

Posted by Mystery Gourmet Yes! Kensou rocks. On my mugen I play as 97/98 Kensou over XI Kensou most of the time. My team was almost always Ryo, Joe, and Terry. I never understood why albeit movesets change almost yearly in KoF, executing a move that hasn't changed is sometimes interpreted by mame as altered. Meaning: sometimes executing the same moves in different games on mame can be done differently although technically the process should be the same. (qcf + P in one game does a move for a character while in another game the same should hold true according to move lists and what not, but doesn't.) |

I couldn't ever really get used to Ryo. It's not that I didn't want to, but he tended to be very awkward at times and flat out sucked in games such as Capcom vs. SNK. At least in KOF he didn't suck nearly as bad but I generally used Yuri over him for the fact that she tended to flow a lot better than he ever did. I will say he did have a few choice moves that made going against him suck though (one that I can think of was an easy chain-to-dizzy). |

I dunno. It's difficult, but when you can get a good "Ichi geki Issatsu!"(sp?) in, it helps. He's certainly less flexible but chains that work can be awesome. |
