Choose a Vista
I found this Mac vs. PC commercial funny, especially when the wheel landed on "LOSE A TURN" xd Why have six versions of Vista? I mean, Mac OS X only comes in one version! xd |

That was great. I've found a few of those commercials amusing. I have a friend who has Vista and it doesn't seem very good (although when he had XP his computer wasn't very good either because it seemed like they downloaded a lot of pointless programs that probably contained spyware). Anyway I haven't really gotten the chance to try it so I'm not sure what to think but for the time being I'm staying with XP. |

Haven't tried it at all, sticking with XP for now until I'm forced to make the switch.
I'd wait for at least the first service pack anyways. |

I'm sticking with XP. Although I don't see the problem with multiple versions, why pay for what you don't need? Although, it strikes me as being more friendly if you select from a list of things exactly what you want in your copy, the more customization, the better. I'm waiting as long as possible before I switch, I may even just switch over to Linux before I have too. Must learn more first though. ____________________ There are things I want to put here. I also am sticking with XP.
Those Mac ads are really arrogant, and they remind me of my ex-roommate who had a Mac and thought it must be better than my computer because it was 'top of the line'. (yeah, let's not take cpu speed and ram size into account ) ____________________ |

Posted by DragI actually find those Mac ads funny, surprisingly. I'm not a fan of Macintoshes at all, and some of the arguments they make in favor of using Macs are pretty ridiculous, but I think that's part of what makes them humorous. Especially the old "Mac=creativity and fun software, PC=strictly for work, computation, and all-around non-recreational software." ____________________ |

Hey, MSPaint is as non-serious and as non-recreational as you can possibly get. ____________________ |

Posted by Dr_Death16 I think it's funny how wrong they are, but it also makes me angry how it could be pointing ignorant people in the wrong direction. I find this argument to be the most annoying, especially because PCs are generally better fit for gaming. ____________________ There are things I want to put here. Posted by TheGreatGuyThe only reason everything is compatible with PCs and nothing is compatible with Macs is because, since there are MORE PCs, naturally everyone will design for Windows first and add-on Mac support later, if at all .Posted by Dr_Death16 Also, instead of making 6 different versions, why don't they make one core version, then you download any of the extra stuff you want/need from the Microsoft website or something? It would be much easier (no "omg which version do i want?!?!"). ____________________ |

Well, I wouldn't say that support for Mac OS X or Linux distros isn't that awful as you make it to be, especially when the non-windows desktop market is seemingly growing.
It's pretty much games that isn't supported under Linux and Mac OS X. And even then, there's way around that, at least for older games (DOSbox, Wine). ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

I would stick with 2000 if I possibly could; but XP does me well, and Vista seems to be considerably more hassle than help. |

I think I'll just stick with Windows XP (tyvm). I like the Press your Luck/Whammy! reference with the "Big operating system!" thing. ____________________ ._. + internet |
