I figured this might be interesting enough to post. I was basically trying to make a background graphic that I could use for a particular project of mine and I needed a little follow up on how it looked. Well, it turned into about a two hour conversation with several people until the final graphic turned out...and man does it look sweet in comparison to how it started.
Just figured I'd show it off, since I haven't ever really gone off of several people's suggestions at once like this before: The initial background, created with Starfish The initial beta, after the idea was set up After one round of talking to people After two... And the finish... That was really kinda neat I thought. Special shouts to X, Grey, Phil, CPU on this. |

Could've just easily said that and I wouldn't have been as pissed. Honestly, you wasted a good ten minutes of my type time and I want them back.
Sides, the remarks weren't criticism. I don't think you have the ability to do that without coming off sounding like an asshole or a retard. |

Honestly, it looks like you tried too hard to make it look good... Too many things going on at once, and they all didnt QUITE come together... =/
IMO, you need to make the V stand out more... perhaps even off-center it. Right now I look at it and go "hey theres this bright spot in the middle, oh it's a V". I dont entirely think that was your intended effect. 
And yes, I agree. Something on the edges could make it look better.  ____________________  |
