Lately, I've had a lot of cheesecake. I have noticed that every box the cheesecake comes it, it says you must defrost the cheesecake before serving. But for much of my life, I've always eaten it without defrosting. Is it weird that I eat my cheesecake without waiting for it to defrost?

I've always heard that you can get worms and other infections from eating frosted/raw stuff...

It's a cheese cake ;;

Well anyway. I get my cheese cake from a place called Trader Joes. I personally think they have the best cheese cake in my area in that store. I sometimes eat mine without anything on it, but if I really want to, I'll smother it in chocolate syrup.

I only just had cheesecake for the first time in my life a few weeks ago, when my friends took me to the cheesecake factory. It was so delicious. So now, while I have yet to buy any cheesecake, I fully plan on purchasing some to bring home in the future, and I'm a big fan of Trader Joe's. I'd say that if they wrote on the box to let it defrost, then you probably should... but it's not going to kill you if you don't. Least I hope not.

I cant remember when i first had cheese cake, but i love it! I order it from fundraisers at my school. I dont know who makes them, but i dont have to defrost them. They come in a box, and when you open it up, they are cut like pizzas, and you just pick it out of the box, put it on a plate, and try to stop yourself from eating it all in 4 seconds.

My mom makes amazing cheesecake. We've collected various recipes over the years, so now we've got a collection of about thirty different varieties that we can make. We bring one to most family gatherings. So tasty.

Now I want some.

Um... no. Defrosting something will not kill any worm / worm eggs inside it, and I don't see how worms would get inside a cheesecake in the first place, as it isn't their habitat at all. You get worms from eating raw meat.

I wouldn't say it's weird, but if you're going to eat cheesecake I'd suggest trying it. It'll probably let out the flavors better.

I would also recommend not eating a lot of cheesecake in the first place, but whatever.

cheesecake factory

YOU WIN!

The Reese's Peanut Butter Cup one is the best... can't remember it's full name.

For all those who don't know, Cheesecake Factory produces the mother of all cheesecakes... nothing else even compares.

Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake

OK, you're going to tell me where the fuck to buy this. Fuck not having diabetes, I need this in my mouth and NOW.

I've never even seen anything like this. It isn't a west coast chain or something, is it?

Specialty cheesecakes can be good, but not always. I can't say I like mint-chocolate cheesecake, it's actually pretty nasty. Reese's is great, though I usually prefer plain or with chocolate swirl. My mom makes cheesecake that is so thick and tasty that it's hard to swallow. So you're trying to eat it fast b/c it's so good but not choke to death at the same time. And if I did die, at least I'd die happy .

I've only been to the Cheesecake Factory once, about 8 months ago I think. I went to the one in Chicago, and I had the Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake. Absolutely delicious. ¬_¬

Not only is the cheesecake delicious, their slices of cheesecake dwarf any other slice of cheesecake I have seen in my entire life. The slices are so large I'm having trouble thinking of something to compare it too... thus I'm gonna have to draw a picture.

RAAAARRR

But don't take my word for it, find a Cheesecake Factory yourself and have a go at it.

There's one in DC but I don't have a car and I'm not taking the metro during finals week just for fucking cheesecake no matter how potentially delicious. I'll check the one in Baltimore sometime the week after the next.

Another thing to be jealous at you Americans about.

I like homemade cheesecake... plain or chocolate. There's also a coffee-flavored one I've had before that's surprisingly delicious.

Speaking of cheesecake, I just had some at my grandma's house today because we were there for Mother's Day. We had a cheesecake with blueberries on top, with the filling having a slight blueberry flavor. Amazingly delicious.

I have never actually had a cheesecake, the idea of cheese and cake in one entity made me cringe. After this thread though, I guess I might try it. Still, it seems it'd taste pretty weird, pastry + cheese =
