There was a small fire near me and on every single news channel, it was the ONLY thing they talked about for the whole 35 minutes. There have been bigger fires and they didn't spend so much time covering those .

If that happens, someone has got to be there to tape it and put it on youtube. It would be the most commented on video in history. And I need to see that sign in flames, if it happens. I hope it doesn't though, that's the symbol of that entire area, it'd be like if mount rushmore exploded. Okay, maybe not that bad, but still.

Last view: 11 days 		We get alotta fires during the winter here in New York, mostly cause of some electric shit. Alotta people have a nasty habit of sleeping with their electric heaters near their beds, it can get really cold up here (not like Canada though) but anything below 8 degrees is pretty cold to us.

I can imagine how people feel seeing a fire coming near them, I'd be scared myself. Burning to death is one of my greatest fears next to being scared of heights.

Same here. I've been sick for the past week, so has my co-workers and husband. I thought I was over it the other day, but when I woke up, I had a nasty cough.

We had some rain the other day...which started to spark a lot of lightening strikes...

Last view: 6099 days 		Ugh. Yeah, the smoke is getting pretty bad, at least up here in Jacksonville. We still get some periods of clear air at least, but it's more smoke than I'm comfortable with.

Take it from me, it sucks working outside. Lucky that I only work on weekends, at least... although a new fire has come up just near the market where I work, so the smoke could be terrible there now.
