Yea, I noticed that too but didn't fix that yet. I will do it later. |

No, I meant those larger bubbles that replenish your air in STH, not the small ones (which are already there) |

I don't think so. It's just water after all and I don't think it's necessary to add special bubbles.
Anyway, world 2 has been finished now and I have a new screenshot for you. It's a sublevel from a level in world 2. |

Wow, I like the use of YI and NSMB graphics in your hack
At least it's not SMB3 graphics - those are so 2004. |

It's not YI either, it's from Yoshi's Island DS. |

Posted by BooUrns Totally my fault. I'm thinking there weren't NSMB hills ripped yet and so I had to make my own from scratch. I didn't match up with the ripped graphics exactly, I guess. You're pretty much the king of ripping, Ice Man. The NSMB cave background is especially impressive and must have eaten up a ton of tiles. (I started making one, but never fully assembled it) 'Bout time somebody fixed the glitches in that hilly background of mine. I rushed through assembling that and never bothered to fix it, even though I'm pretty sure all the necessary tiles were there. |

Well, I fixed the outline now.
@icegoom: The background did not have the necessary tiles, I drew them. If you want I can send you the fixed one. And another things, the cave FG only used one ExGFX file while the BG uses 2, at least for the NSMB graphics. The YIDS FG and BG uses one ExGFX file each. |

I drew a set of tiles that could conceivably be assembled into something resembling the NSMB underground, but yeah, there would have been so much horizontal and vertical flipping involved that I was never really motivated to put it together. I'd love to see how you went about doing your background. |

I did the BG with M16-7k.
Well, here is how it looks in the 8x8 editor. BG: FG: |

Ah, yeah, that's probably more efficient, and it looks better. I'd fit all the tiles into one graphics file, but assembling them would have been a huge amount of work and even then it'd be pretty simplistic and some seams would be visible:

Pretty good. I like the YI-inspired graphics, as long as they don't clash with more realistic stuff like some of NSMB's graphics. Cartoony should mix with cartoony
The BG needs some real work with the shading and perspective--the graphics are nice, but it looks flat How about darkening the BG or adding an edge to the light part with the window so it pops out a bit more?? Overall, your art style is nice--original use of rips is something we really need to see more in SMW hacks. |
