So, I've got a final on Tuesday in Psychology.

So far, out of five classes this semester, I've taken four, got the grades (and thus, final class grade) on one, and have to take one more final.

So, how y'all doing in school?

Tests (and Finals by extension) are easy . Especially if it's multiple-choice and unless it's an essay-type test.

Finals are in June for me. They'll probably take place on the last week of school...

As for school in general, I'm doing pretty well. Mostly A's and B's, except for a C in English. That's only because I neglected some of my work.

[notfunny]dude finals are gonna blow chunks outta my ass[/notfunny]

No finals this semester because I'm a senior.

Quite awesome.

What are you going to do about your dissertation, if I might ask? O:

But yeah, essay tests are easy, everything else is just annoying.

Finals in four of my classes and one last paper.

+Hybrid Vehicles wasn't too bad, hopefully the score distribution will put me past the std. dev. and I'll pull out an A- in the class.
+Power Systems is on wednesday and I need an A on the final to pull an A in one of my most important classes.
+Electronics is on thursday, should be able to get a B on the final and a B/B+ in the class.
+Signals is on friday and I need an A to not get a B- or above in the class or my debt will increase significantly and I might lose my internship.
+Philosophy paper due on friday, I've gotten A's on the first two papers so I shouldn't be in much trouble.

I have no motivation to work, I'm too excited about next year even though these finals are probably the most important of all my college career.

No shit, hence why I'm awake at ~5am my time. This does suck, two finals this week at 7:30am of Politics of Industrial Democracies and Interpretation of Lit.

I have my philosophy final today, probability and statistics tomorow, and Haskell final on Thursday. The insane thing is that I have two essays due on finals week. One for philosophy class, and the other replaces the literature final. I hate essays more than anything about school.

My exams start next week, with Management of IT Projects. In the following week, I've got Network and Systems Security, Applications Architectures and Frameworks, and Case Studies of Software Design.

Procrastination and apathy has set in, I just can't be bothered to revise. Maybe it's just the past two weeks of hardcore work on my dissertation- but that's been my attitude for the past three days now

I do feel like I need some much needed attention, some comfort and some retail therapy

Finished Finals for my classes last week...

Matrix Theory - Aced
Intro to Discrete Structures - Aced
Numerical Analysis - Didn't have to take, was offered an A in the class
Art History (blah) - good enough to get a Pass on a P/NP, also considering I only went to about half the classes the whole semester I did pretty good.
Physics - Bombed... but I wasn't shooting for an A in the class...

Yeah, procrastination is evil. What I'll do is, let's say it's Monday and I have an essay due in a week. So on Monday I figure I'll ignore it for a few days, maybe think of a topic on Wednesday and write a page or so each day until it's done. Then, by Wednesday I decide it can wait until the weekend, and I'll rationalize by thinking of other things I need to get done in the mean time (clean the apartment, homework for another class, etc.) and then do those things but waste most of my other time. By Friday, I figure I can start it Saturday, and on Saturday I put it off until Sunday. Sunday rolls around and I keep telling myself I'll start it, but I don't. Then late in the evening I figure I can start a few paragraphs and then go to bed because I'm tired, planning to finish it up Monday morning. On Monday I'm panicked and submit a total rush job, pulling random facts out of the text in random order and adding garbage sentences filling in any gaps with whatever I can think of, and figure I won't get penalized too much if it's 3 pages instead of 4, so I make it like 2 2/3 pages because it's almost 3, which is almost 4. I could do a much better job at essays if I didn't hate them so much and put them off until the last minute.

I have two finals coming up:

- Psychology final, which is probably going to be as hard as learning how to wipe one's ass (i.e. piss easy)
- Netwarking +, which is just a few notes on how Chocobos communicate

...

Okay, N etworking +, which if it's anything like the last one can be cheated on very easily (fill in crap answers, hit submit, it gives you the right ones)

I've been too danm busy to come here lately. My wife and I are already completing our final exams for the classes we have.

One week of finals, then two weeks left before classes are over (and then I can resume my important stuff).

I'm still in high school so I don't have finals. I have exams in June which I will hopefully do good on because my marks are fairly high right now.

I had a chemistry class last spring in which it was really easy to cheat on the computerized quizzes (which were like 1/4 of the class grade). It would tell you which ones you got wrong (but not the correct answer) after you finished it, but you could retake it as many times as you wanted before the due date. After I found this out, instead of actually working through the problems, I would just answer "A" for all of them, see which ones were right and write down those numbers. Then I would take it again, choosing A for the ones I knew were A, and B for all others, write down the B questions, lather, rinse, and repeat. I got 100% on all those quizzes without knowing any of the answers.

Regular finals are in June the week before graduation, and my only AP final is next tuesday. AP Environmental Science. I've heard nothing but bad things about this AP test, that it's really tough. I'll be living in my review book for the next week.

At least I enjoy the content of the class, so it's not too painful to study for.

Essays are fun. Here's a little story.

My last semester at UMass, I was writing a novel as my senior honors thesis/project. (I finished it at about 75,000 words, roughly 250 pages.) I also happened to be taking a Comp Lit class - Children's Literature - with the guy who happened to chair my committee. Midterms rolled around, and he reserved a classroom for a 7PM exam; it was part multiple choice, part short answer, part essay, and the reason we were taking it during an out-of-class period was because even though it was supposed to be a two-hour exam, most folks took longer. The prof and the TAs said they'd stay as late as they could, until they started to fall asleep, and in past years that's been until 11:15-11:30 at night. Yeah, a four-hour exam.

I was kind of freaked out. Most everyone else was, too. But the teachers, who knew I was writing a novel (with the prof actually reading it) were taking bets on how many bluebooks my exam would be and how late I'd stay, hah. I left at about 10:30, and filled three bluebooks. My last essay drew parallels between Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the bible-prophecied thousand-year-long reign of God where the righteous are saved and the sinners are cast into the pit to have their faults burned out of them. I was one of the top scorers in my class.

Exams are nothing big, especially essay exams. The only problem with essay exams is wrapping it up within the time limit. And even though I spent about three hours on that one exam, my handwriting still deteriorated at the end; not because I was rushing for time, but because my hand was starting to cramp up, heh.
