I actually found it kind of creepy seeing the map with Australia named North Korea... and people weren't noticing that it was in a way wrong location. And Australia is a US ally too. I kinda understand if some people can't point out on a map where Korea is but... mistaking Australia?

My favourite question is probably "Name a country starting on U". Priceless.

That's probably only the few dumbest they found, and some of the questions weren't that obvious either ... but when people don't even know about the United Kingdom, forget their own country name, place various countries in Australia or think there's 10 Eiffel Towers, there's a problem

"Name a country starting with U" even had more possible answers, like Uruguay, United Kingdom, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Uganda, or even United Arab Emirates

Of course, it's entertainment so they aren't going to show the person that said: "Three sides are on a triangle, notice triangle?"

Still, wtf at these people.

Honestly, America is a stupid country. I was born in, and currently live in America, I'm not basing this on anything other than personal experience, most of the people I see every day are stupid. This may sound like a biased view, but this has been my experience up to this point of my life. I have met people like those in the video, only one or two, but still, people like these are the reason any country that winds up in the "Center of the world" position dies off. However, not everyone is stupid, I don't think that anyone intelligent would for a second think that all Americans are stupid, but a very large number of them are. That's why this video really doesn't anger me, anyone with a brain realises that there are more intelligent people than those shown in the video. I can't stand the ignorance some people show, it really bothers me how stupid at least 75% of the population is, but it's true.

Most of the time, intelligent people who are assholes are usually ones that wants to prove how much better they are than everyone else. Like a certain banned member...

Actually, I have yet to meet an intelligent person who was an asshole about being better than others. I have met intelligent people who can be assholes at times, but there are a lot of stupid people like that too.

Yeah, I admit, I don't know how the government in Asia works, and I don't know which countries start with an X, and I don't know how many cubic centimeters the pacific ocean is either. I guess that means I'm as dumb as a brick, huh?

Yeah, I'm really stupid. I'm a huge retarded idiot, despite my knowledge of assembly for two, possibly three families of CPUs, 5 programming languages, binary logic, electronics, and video game analysis. Yeah, I'm sorry that I can't be smarter, rest of the world, I really owe you guys a lot for it. Feel free to call me a giant idiot every time you see me, I guess I deserve it.

Where did they conduct this survey? And even then, they probably only used the wrong answers. For one thing, I wouldn't know half of the questions they'd ask me, because GUESS WHAT? I DON'T GIVE A RAT FUCK ABOUT POLITICS, so of course I'm not going to know who's in charge everywhere. I do know enough geography to be able to place most territories roughly in the area where they actually are, instead of dumping everything onto Australia.

And it's dumbass grade-A biased bashing that makes me care EVEN LESS about politics. If you want me to care about what's going on in your country, then stop giving me reasons to want to disregard everything you say.

So yes. I know America's image is bad in most of the world. I'm fully aware of this, and as a result, I'm not leaving the country. I never had plans on leaving the country, and I'm especially not going to make any plans on leaving the country any time soon. That way, everyone will be saved from my HUGE OBESE OVEREATING HABITS, and my RIDICULOUSLY RETARDED STUPIDITY.

Drag: it's a bit pathetic how you're trying to defend/justify yourself, IMO. :\
Plus it makes you look complexed...

A true sign of intelligence would have been to be above this.

Yeah, sorry for the huge overreaction, I've been a lot more irritable lately, because of college issues which I will not be explaining further.

Also, if we're so dumb, why can't foreigners drive in the US correctly?

Like I said...my site. You really need to take things like this way less seriously.

I'm pretty sure 'Accidents At Home' in TOONS would be a good start.

My favourite question is probably "Name a country starting on U". Priceless.

That's not really fair though.. The entire thing was setup where they were asking foreign questions at first, and they probably weren't given a lot of time to answer. The way the brain works, everyone would be trying to come up with some unusual name or another, and they'd be trying to rush themselves to process it quickly.. Their own country is never going to click while the mind is caught in that kind of a cycle. (Besides, I imagine the majority were just thinking "America" in regards to their country, not "United States of America." Same logic falls in lines with things like the United Kingdom, though the people that never HEARD of the UK are quite the morons indeed.)

Some (not all) of the questions regarding politics are rather iffy too.. I don't think the populace as a whole really NEEDS to know that much about foreign affairs\leaders. We all have our own lives and things to do, and it is a pretty big world.. It is to be expected that if you pick someone off the street they aren't going to be able to name everything off accurately, or at all. I think the same would apply to anywhere around the world.. (And if you think you could pull someone off the street in another country and get them to name off a bunch of facts about the US.. you probably would get better results, if not simply because the USA is plastered all over the media and constantly gets its nose into everything. For an accurate test, you'd need a broader range of questioning like the one displayed here, not localized on asking them about a single country.)

That said though.. most of the rest was pretty damned stupid on the peoples part. Like the geography and things like the KFC question.. I guess I can't hold it entirely against someone not to know their geography either, but it was pretty ridiculous that people just randomly selected an area rather than admitting that they didn't know where to place the pin..

What's new? There are a lot of ignorant people in this world, and this nation is no exception. Not a real shocker to find a few people who can't answer shit like this.

Really, isn't it a bit silly to point at other people and claim intellectual superiority over them? Since then we run into a "I'm better because I know X and other people don't" sort of quibbling.

Yeah, I don't watch the news, so I wouldn't know much in the way of politics. It's not really fair to gauge someone's intelligence based on what they know about one subject.
