This is not a list thread; it lacks the sheer extravagance and effulgent waste of space that might be attributed to other such threads prefixed with the "oh" sound.

The reason for this is clear: what might be described of as "oyes" or "ono" are often bursts of vividly desirable or undesirable things or ideas--this is not the case with okay stuff. What is okay is a subtler variant of what is good, the nuances of life that are appreciated to one.

Personally, I don't think that it does justice to just list what one thinks is okay--also, just listing something wouldn't explain why it is okay, and not posted in the "ono" or "oyes" threads.

So, to start with, I think the United States is okay. Within it, there is a great deal of breadth for people of varying tastes, backgrounds, and cultures. The U.S. has a decent educational system, as well as a good deal of support for those well outside of the norm. Job prospects are bright, and taxes are rather fair. The judicial system has its flaws, but is on the whole, not too bad at all. The case for xenophobia might be disputed, but the U.S. is relatively kind to people of every type.

The name "Where's Waldo?" is "okay". It's mildly amusing and brings back fond childhood memories.

However, it's not epic enough to be OYES or stupid enough to be ONO. Connections between Waldo and the Cat in the Hat don't help the OYESness of the name. Red and white striped hats are too common, it would seem. I suppose they're okay, though. Minimalistic striped design, original and clean, but again, too common.

Pecan pie is okay. It's pretty good, but the taste to volume ratio wouldn't be too arrogant if it were a bit greater. Still, a nice treat, nonetheless. Not like it's sex cake, though. (lol sex cake)

Greenday is okay. They're fun to listen to on occasion, but they're just not my favorite, you know? All their songs sound the same. Good thing they usually sound good, even though they're redundant.

The chocolate milk at my high school is okay. It's got a bit of zest, but it's just not orgasmic like the store bought half gallon jugs of chocolate milk that are loaded with enough chocolate to give anyone diabetes.

This thread is okay. It's a new idea, perhaps a fun way to kill time...but nothing more...

And the other ones aren't? This is better than those.

LAN parties are okay, but when they restrict all access to the internet and go for 24 hours straight, that's not really okay.

Donkey Kong Country 1 and 3 are okay (2 is amazing).

This bowl of porridge I stole from some family of three... it is okay. It is not too hot, and not too cold, but it is somewhere between the two.

Same goes for this bed that I also stole from the same family.

Firefox's spell-checker is okay, but it thinks words such as "okay" are spelled wrong, but it can recognize the country name Djibouti.
