I recently borrowed Master Quest from my friend, and I am now headed to the forest temple. So far, the game has seemed preaty hard and confusing. Is it going to get more-so as I progress? Do you think there will be some Temples that I will dislike? Your opinion on the game?
Thanks.

P.S., I really don't like the future. It's filled with Ghosts, Zombes, and pissed-off crazy people.

They're not Zombies. They're dead and they love raping you in the ass.

Proof can be found here.

But Master Quest will be confusing and hard, everything was switched around for a reason.

I got it for virtual console.
So far, I have to say it's extremely overrated.

That's because it came out in a generation of 10-12 year olds that had never seen a Zelda game before it, and 90% of that age range to this day will say that it was the first Zelda game created. I go through it everyday with people ("Hey I just bought Zelda on the Wii VC" "Oh you mean Ocarina of Time?" "No I mean the first one" "Yea, Ocarina of Time" *ZA WARUDO! *SMASH* WRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY) and it is silly and I try to point out the major flaws of the game.

Seriously, try gamefaqs or something, you will find that 90% of Zelda OOT's fanboys are or was 10-12 years old. I think there was a survey once.

I think it was one of the best games out there, but I'll never be like*, "ZOMG1!! LOZ OOT IS TEH BEAST GAEM EVUR!!!11111"
It was good, Master Quest is hard, and for some reason, on VC... It just isn't fun anymore.

The game never interested me although I love LOZ games. I think it was the bad character design (just my opinion). I just disliked how Link looked. The blond parted hair and white pants + green tunic didn't work for me.

Lucky for us, Link looks much better now in TP.

Well I think Majoras mask is better as well, but not by whole much. Ocarina of time is still one of those games that I was obsessed with once upon a time, and still think is a great game.

...and I like it better than the 2D Zelda's. And yes I played them before Ocarina of time as well.

I was like 9 when I played Ocarina of time. Having completed before A link to th past (being it one of my favorite games) and the "real" first one. And I still think it's a great game... (but I haven't played neither ww or tp... these two games look far better...)
I missed a lot of features... Mainly the Ice and Fire rods... (lttp was the first one I played) But we had the arrows... Or the huge enemies that shooted stuff everywhere or hit you with their body (lttp boss concept, every boss does that)... The worst thing is that later I found that most of those features were actually intened to be there... =/

The temple most people seem to hate and find boring is the water temple (yet I found it fun), but if you like mazes you shouldn't have any problem.

I've always preferred Link to the Past myself, although Ocarina of Time is OK...

I haven't played OoT in a while though :/

I tell you that one of the things I enjoy about Master Quest is that it takes more strategy too; especially for the Gold Skulltullas. A perfect example was the one in the cement block in Jabu Jabu's belly.

Eh. OOT is good, but the Water Temple can bite me.

Along with Shadow Link in there. He can bite me too.

Other than those points, OOT is great. The temples are creative, long and fun - I mean, Twilight Princess is still much better in my opinion, but OOT is by no means a bad game

I think all the negativity towards OoT is pretty funny.

Gaming since I was 3-4, I grew up with the first two on the NES and absolutely loved them. From there I went on to worship Link to the Past, still one of my favorite games of all time. And from there I went on to play OoT and loved every bit of it. I still do. I love them all.

Majora's Mask was great too, though I'd take OoT over it easily since it was much longer and had more than twice the amount of dungeons. Though, the 4th reversible dungeon in MM was probaby one of the greatest dungeons ever (hands down one of the hardest).

I believe Link's Awakening and dare I say it Zelda II are pretty underated.

@JrShrooboid: I was going to say have fun with the Water Temple, but then I saw you're going through the Master Quest ... the Water Temple seemed pretty dumbed down and easier than the original, from what I remember. But I remember the Spirit Temple being harder than the original, and Ganon's Tower. Overall I didn't think the Masters Quest was all that special.

The Water Temple in Master Quest took me longer to complete than the one in OoT. I wouldn't say it was that much harder, but there were a couple places where I just got stuck for a while.

Heh, I remember stopping playing around water temple in Master quest.

No I didn't get bored there. I just didn't get time to continue. xD I remember quitting as soon I came into the temple as I wanted to continue another time, which I never went around too. Now next time I play that game, I could as well start from the beginning...

I remember playing Master Quest. It wasn't that hard at all. If anything, it's easier than the original. Ironically, I played it right after OoT.

In my opinion, Ocarina of Time is the third or fourth best game (tied with Wind Waker). I can't decide between having A Link to the Past and Twilight Princess as 1st or 2nd, though...

I'd voice my opinion and ramble on about other huge series' great games, but

1) It's somewhat off-topic.
and
2) I'm afraid of starting another huge discussion. It's usually one that I'll have almost no involvement in whatsoever.

I still feel OoT is the best game made in a long time, LTTP a close second, but this has a lot to do with me still not getting around to actually finishing TP. I haven't played it enough to judge yet. (I know, WTF is wrong with me?)

I'd say it was a opening to a new type of 3D VG.

It's hard for me to rate the games but the best of 2D had to Links Awakening and 3D (mind you... this was th hardest to choose) Majora's Mask. Why Majora you ask well... I figured it was probably the most innovative and most thought out game of the series. The whole time limit thing gave you a sense of rush. It's like they though "You've spent your time adventuring slowly in Hyrule, but now we put you up to the task of beating this one as fast as possible!" It's kinda' like your own personal speed run.

I thought the time limit just ruined it. One of the nice things about adventure games is exploring, collecting, not necessarily doing what you need to do next just yet, and doing it at whatever pace you want when you do. A time limit pretty much eliminates these options, especially since you lose all the nice things you collected when you go back.
