I heard people talking about it today but I think they're all going to see it on the weekend, and good luck getting me to go. For one, I haven't seen the first two... and secondly, I wouldn't be able to make a midnight showing if I work until... yeah... midnight. :\ |

I just saw it in IMAX and it was AWESOME! Eh, I also found it to be a little drawn out mainly just because it took so long to introduce venom, but to me that didn't stop it from being the best of the three. I think this movie draws more from emotion, character development, and its overall message. Though, yes it still could have been improved a little pacing wise, I didn't find any scene to be unnecessary. It takes so long to get to venom because at heart, the movie is about other things and venom is more of a personification of all of the other events happening and how the characters are being taken over by them. At least thats how I viewed it.
I also thought the action sequences in this movie, while not as frequent as in the other two, are by far the best they've had. In this one though, the action more of the medium to the story rather than the focus. The focus is the story and the characters. so I guess how much you'll enjoy it is based on what you go to the movies for. I tend to like my plots to be intricate and to be able to have many interpretations with a focus on characters and how they change and learn throughout the story so I liked it. There's also plenty of good plot twists. My neck is killing me from staring at the screen for so long, but it was so worth it. |

I liked it a lot, but overall I'd say it felt a little rushed/overdone or something along those lines, there was just too much they could have spent a lot more time expanding on. The end kind of just came out of nowhere too (the last 20 minutes or so).
Spoiler:
If its true we'll see more Spiderman movies, I'm sure we'll see more of Venom. Remember, death's are meaningless in the Marvel universe. And if they expand upon the whole symbiote storyline, Carnage would eventually come into play and then Spiderman and Venom would have to team up to take him out, as they did in the comics/cartoon. I was impressed with the CGI, but there were definitely a few odd parts. Honestly, Spiderman himself looked a little too CG from time to time in this one (then again its been forever since I've seen the first two, so maybe I can't really compare them very well right now). The effects with the symbiote/Venom were amazing though. |

I saw it lastnight. Really enjoyed it too; I didn't find any parts boring and the characters were really likeable, and Emo Peter was hilarious And I thought the ending was pretty much perfect |

Posted by Rich No that is japan's way of marketing spiderman to their people. Sentai heroes get the most money there so it only makes sense to especially with a low budget. |

< I don't watch movies anyway, but this pretty much gave me reason to deny the chance to ever go see this one. ____________________ I dealt with it. |

From what i hear spiderman 3 is basically like two hours of emo spiderman and mj whining and being a bitch, and not enough venom kicking ass.
I was gonna see it but meh, i have a feeling its not gonna be worth the money. |

Posted by Mystery Gourmet Somewhat. In a sense, its the love affair BS from Spiderman 2 all over again, but worse with emoPete and whatnot. That really annoyed me. "Hey, more relationship problems and love affairs!" |

My friend who saw it said it wasn't as good as the first two. (Which I did see. They were both awesome, especially the second one.) I might see it, but eh, I dunno. |

the only way this series can be revived is if they do a movie based on maximum carnage. (actually, you know what, fuck spiderman. Give Carnage his own movie.)
until then, spidey is dead. D: |
