My desktop isn't booting up correctly. I'll turn it on and it'll begin to boot up for around 3 seconds before shutting off. Then it turns itself back on and repeats unless I manually shut it off. It's done this before and I'm not sure how I fixed it, although I think it had something to do with unplugging a hard drive, but this time I've unplugged all drives and it keeps doing it. Help...? |

Your power supply is dead, or close to it. |

Yes, your PSU doesn't have enough power to power up all of your peripherals, for some reason, and like HyperHacker said, it's most likely because it's dying. Either that or you recently added more hardware, and your PSU isn't strong enough to handle it. ____________________ |

Swap out the power supply, and buy a new one. If the new one works fine, then the old PS is bad. If the new one continues to have the same symptoms, then it's motherboard. |
