Your legs are too cylinderic, but not bad for a first try |

Posted by leileilol Actually, they're quite cubic. I applied a HyperNURBS modifier patch to the model. Here's the low poly model: HyperNURBS converts low-poly model to high-poly model but still keep the low-poly feel. It's kinda hard to explain but I think there's a somewhat similar thing in Blender, so you should know. ____________________ |

I like how there's no head .
Good job though (seeing as this is your first try at 3D modeling). ____________________ |

I need to know some good software for 3d Modeling, just decent enough for a project of mine but not really bloated. ____________________ What FF7: Advent Children Character Are You? |

Blender. Quite lightweight, unique interface (once it grows on you, you'll love it) and I use it. It's also open source and cross platform Free Software rather than the propietary "omg lol mail us for key to use heavily botched trial of our 600mb uesless modlin software" crap.
Please don't depend much on subdivisions when you first model. Try to make some shapes poly by poly or make some figures or so. |

Posted by "Raccoon Sam" LMAO! That thing... I don't know what I'd do in a world where people are walking down the street looking like that... Good show, man. |

Posted by leileilol I tried Blender, and I loved it too. It was a bit confusing, and the install package was really really small in size. But for some reason, I still prefer C4D over it. C4D is great for first-timers, I guess. Posted by leileilol Well, I've seen your models, and they look pretty awesome. Thanks for the professional advice! ____________________ |
