Last view: 5860 days 		so i decided the 85 oldsmobile i was driving was too much of a piece of shit and/or gas guzzler so i decided to sell it and get something else.

turns out my friend darin from work was selling a red '92 Eagle Talon with 150,000 miles on it for $500. I was a bit sketchy but I rode in the car and everything is cool. My dad checked it out and we decided to go for it.

Well I ended up going for $900 to get the stereo that was already installed. Two 12-inch kicker subs, a 600 watt amp, and a $180 sony deck. yeah, it bumps

so overall i'm a happy camper. because i'm friends with this guy i didn't have to pay it all to him right away. i put $250 down, got the car today, and i'm going to be making payments....

yeah, i'm happy

I got an '89 Mitsubishi Montero just a year ago and have had to put some moderate work into getting it up to speed. Is there anything in particular that you've found that's wrong with it? Might be good to get it checked out, oil changed and what have you if you already haven't. I had my father go as well when I bought mine for 1300. I've put about 2000 into repair over the year though. :\

Still have shocks to work out, but that's nothing serious...then it's putting nice stuff in it. :\

And insurance for a Dodge Viper has to be several hundred dollars a month. My current payment due at the end of this week is about 67 dollars. I like that insurance a lot better for something that could drive like a nice party vehicle. Fuck speed.

But yeah everything works for the most part. We got the oil changed right away. The only thing that needs replacing is the fuel pump regulator, and that's not too expensive at all. Basically, the only effect is that I have to pump the gas like a choke to start the engine when it's cold.

I'm happy with the tunes, to say the least. I've got lots of looks from peds and a few stares from cops while I'm bumping down the street

EDIT: And yeah I'll probably end up putting money into it but it can become my project car

If it's the turbo version, I'm jealous.

I recently had my car get fucked up, so I was checking out what I should get to replace mine. I was checking out the 1992 Eclipse GSX(same shit as eagle talon with a 4G63T/Plymouth Laser) and it'd be pretty sexy having 195 horsepower on a 4 cylinder engine.

But, I think I'll be getting a 1990-94 Maxima instead, rather have a nice luxury vehicle for cruising around.

I doubt you're done spending money on it.
That's generally true for all older cars, anyway. Hopefully the talon won't give you too much trouble, though, Vyper.

It really doesn't have any balls. If for some odd reason I need to get some power, I can switch the gear ratio from economic to power with the touch of a button.

Either way I'm happy with the car and I plan to keep it in running order for a long time....

Monthly payment on the truck is 394$ for the truck, 106 for insurance, 25 for plates.

Both VW have been paid off for ages.
