We had to get rid of our stickshift car because it failed the emissions test. It was so much more fun to drive than a car with an automatic transmission.

And Kles, that's actually not a bad idea. I think I'll do that too.

That article influenced my dreams last night. Let's see... Me, my dad, my stepmom, his car, and her minivan were at a cottage in the middle of nowhere when (get this) ancient Romans invaded the town and attacked us. I jumped into the minivan for shelter. The keys weren't in it but for whatever reason, in this version of reality, you could still turn it to ignition and shift into neutral, just not start it. So I did that and using the momentum gained from rolling downhill, ran over the few that were there. Somehow I circled the building going downhill the entire way and came back to where it had been parked. I got out and everyone was just kinda calm thinking we should leave town, then suddenly I turned around and they'd left without me! >8^( So I walked into town, it was night by then and I guess the rest of the Romans hadn't arrived yet. This made it easy for me to steal a car with the keys still in it. (Hey, the town was being invaded, I had to GTFO any way I could. ) I had a bit of trouble since it was a stick shift, but fortunately in this universe all Iyou had to do was shift up when the engine revved too high, not even touching the clutch.

Funny how seemingly insignifcant things like that pop up randomly in dreams. I have no idea where ancient Roman invasion came from...

Huh. That's defenitely something new for me, at least.

In other news, this is the first post made from my Nintendo Wii, and it's just really annoying to have a Wpm of less than 10. Kinda drops my appreciation for it, y'know?

Hmm...not sure about any dreams in recent memory...eh well.

(Also, I'm getting .us with most of my dots.us Like that.)

Oh and as to the stick shift question, any car I've owned has been stick.

Better gas mileage and not exceptionally hard to drive. Beats having some idiot trying to steal it who isn't used to it and can't even drive it off the lot because he doesn't know it's stuck in neutral with the E-brake on.

I don't own a car, but when I do drive, it's usually an automatic. I have driven a stickshift before (928), but it made me more nervous.

In other news, I've entered another Sprite Competition at MFGG. I hope I win.

I spend hours trying to figure out what's corrupting a block of memory and it turns out that block never got initialized because I passed the wrong size to memset(). Argh.

But on the plus side I came up with some nice ways to handle such failures on the DS, such as blinking the power LED a given number of times depending what went wrong.

America is silly with their auto gears. Here in Sweden everything has stick (except women and hermies).

Yes, America is silly.

Sticks
A) Are less boring to drive, and
B) Generally get better gas mileage.

I like auto if only because it removes one more "simultaneous process" from my already overworked mind while driving.

(No, idiot, I can't tell if you're going to turn in half a second, use your fucking blinker)

I can't drive a stick. I never bothered to learn. It doesn't seem that difficult, and someday I'd like to give it a shot.

Yeah, they're easier, plain and simple. Driving can be difficult enough without having to shift manually.

Bumped because it can be bumped.

I've had an interesting week this week. I left Sunday to go over to my relative's house (still here, by the way). I did nothing then. Monday we left to Islands of Adventure. It was interesting since we got in an hour before the park opened because my aunt and cousing have annual passes and since they could get in early, we got in early for being part of their party. Nice, I guess.

Tuesday I saw 1408 in theatres. It was an alright movie, but I'm not really a movie fanatic, so... yeah. Then after the movie, we headed back here and played games until we left to see the Blue Man Group at Universal. It was... definitely interesting to see.

Wednesday we went to a science center. Kind of boring, really. Thursday I went to see Transformers. Kind of long, really.

Friday went to Disney. Magic Kingdom, MGM, and Epcot. Mostly Magic Kingdom though. I had fun there, I guess. Was really tired though, even if I stayed up until 1 AM last night.

Going to be home tomorrow night and my cousin will be staying for a week as well, therefore I will be online and on IRC, but not a majority of the time like usual until he leaves.

So yeah. Figured I should post it here than make a thread of it. Dunno why. Maybe to keep conversation going here.

Blue Man Group? You win.

All I did was insert a stick of 512 MB of RAM into my computer and play Super Demo World: The Legend Continues again.

I need to catch up on Resident Evil 4.
