I have yet to read 1984, but I did read Brave New World and Catch-22.

My brother read 1984, though. Speaking of my brother, it's his birthday today!

Happy Birthday, Aquadian!

Right now, we're reading 1984 by George Orwell. Before that, we were reading The Color Purple by Alice Walker, and we also did Shakespeare's Hamlet earlier this year (the Early Modern English bored me)...

It's Modern English! It's not as though it's Beowulf or anything.

But it still written in a way we would consider archaic, using vocabulary that is no longer in common use in English. (thee, thou...) Also, word order tends to receive the boot and unnecessary words are added or important ones removed to comply with iambic pentameter.

Well, something short that serves to clarify like "is" or "there", I guess...

I figured out how to list threads by a certain user

Just change the ID to a different ID to get a different list

You just barely found that out?

I've known about that for awhile though. Another one that currently works is the show posts by user.

I think SMWFreak was the most annoying member ever.

Remember when he made about 20 topics that got in the Trash Bin with stuff like "OMG KATW SUX" and "THIS BOARD IS GAY"?

I will never be able to wrap my brain around people so.. ignorant as that. To post nonsense insistently and immaturely throw meaningless names about.. I just can't imagine what they'd be thinking. It seems like it would be such a huge waste of energy and time, and ultimately accomplish nothing at all..

Though, having been on the internet so long.. I've learned to accept it as the norm of things, even if it is truly puzzling when I attempt to examine it.

Oh god, I remember that. I feel sorry for Kattwah for putting up with that guy for almost 4 hours.
