I'll have to experiment tomorrow and see if my high school's filters let me get to the new site. acmlm.org was blocked, but maybe acmlm.no-ip.org won't be.

Tomorrow, I get to test the new WiFi network on campus. It'll be fun.

It's $10000 a year at the UCs. Private universities are far more expensive.

Yeah, public universities anywhere in the US are comparatively more affordable than most private institutions. However, IIRC Danielle is planning on going to one of two private universities, so yeah, it'll be expensive.

Our school actually has a decent IT crew, though, who have caught people trying to mess with the blocking system... I don't think it's worth risking expulsion, even though I like the board...

I usually post from school during the day, and my schools firewall likes to block pages at random, the main part of the fourm is usually un-blocked, the pages i find the most blocked are the Gaming and ????'s corner catagories

It's probably based around keywords... so certain sexual words would probably be on the list, blocking ?????'s Corner, and videogames as well are probably blocked.

Our library filter filtered out "chat", so as soon as it found that word in a page (anywhere), the page would explode and you'd get redirected to "http://xxxxxxxxxx/"...

Not good for things like Acmlm's Board General Chat, really

The good news is, I held them off with a shock cannon I built from nothing but a ziploc bag, a ball of rubber bands, and toothpaste.

The bad news is I'm not MacGyver, and the shock cannon didn't work. The only reason I'm still alive is because I dropped the rubber band ball, which they confused for a ball of yarn. Cats love yarn, y'know.
