Mouse brain simulated on computer

It's one hell of a computer but we'll have the sort of power on PDAs one day. Then we too can simulate mice!

...University of Nevada...

Something to be proud of, finally.

But that's kind of incredible... I just hope Nevada Power (assuming that really is the one here and not some other one) doesn't rape them, running a huge supercomputer with 4095 CPUs and 1024 GB of RAM can't be very energy efficient

In twenty years we'll be able to do this on home PCs.

So how long until the firmware is cracked to run on gerbils?

Nope.

This is spooky though, in a way. Simulated brains. Eventually they'll have the CPU power to simulate a human brain. They could "create" a person, feeding the simulated brain false input, and it would think it were a real live human.

Nah, I don't think they'll get to emulate human brain, or if they do humans will be extinct ...

What I fear is that they actually manage to crate a whole brain, and make some sort of robotic pets... the poor things would be treated as trash... simple tools... showing how evil can humans be... and at some point create beings with reason like megaman, and starting a war between robots and humans... *shot*

Humain brain emulation sounds ridiculous right now, but at one point, people said the same about computers with more than 768K of RAM.

is not ridicolous, but is very far.

Maybe someday the events of megaman will be real... It wouldn't be the first time...

C'mon...they were doing Biochips in The Journeyman Project way back in 1992.

You know if you actually know what that is you'd know what kicked ass back in the day.

I'm waiting for Orynider to appear and make some 'amazing' hacks of this new emulated thing.

Maybe it'll look ten times less like a mouse!

Orynider is probably some kind of failed AI project from Romania. His brain is nothing more than a old rusty soviet style super computer.
