Any battle scars from playing too much on any given game?

As of right now, my right wrist is a bit stiff and I can see a few bruises from playing too much of Guitar Hero II.

Back when the SNES was pretty new, my thumbs would die from the way I'd death-grip the controller, I wouldn't be able to adequately apply pressure to anything without pain for a while. Now I've either gotten resistant to it, or I just don't death-grip the controller anymore. I find the former more likely. I never really had problems with the NES for some reason, it was just the SNES that killed me.

I remember that. I would get this bump on my thumb, a little like that of a blister.

Ever played the original Mario Party?

...Yeah. My blisters had blisters from rotating the joystick so much.

Pump It Up. Playing N Freestyle. There is a part that slows down tremendously in the middle with no notes for about 8-10 seconds. I goofed off and ran off the machine, around the other machines surrounding it, and went back on the pad between the bars before the arrows started up again. My right elbow hit the right bar at a bad spot. It hurt for days.

Same game, any song on Freestyle with few notes. I use my knee to hit notes at times. It hurts no matter how lightly I hit them.

DDR this time. Playing a song when I feel a pain in my foot. I continue playing. Get back home and realize I cut my freaking toe!

Then there is Soul Calibur III, when I got very mad at points and punched things. Yeah, my fists didn't like that.

Not sure what else there is... but I'll see if I remember them.

Oh god, that was a failure in control schemes. Worst idea ever. My palms were raw meat when I played that game a ton. Good thing Nintendo realized that that wasn't good so they instead made games where you mash you fingers pressing A as fast as possible.

Speaking of mashing, has anyone beaten the cloud race against the canary in Banjo-Tooie? To this day I still haven't beaten her. My fingers just can't push A fast enough to win. I've deemed it impossible for me at least without the use of a turbo controller.

I am the undisputed master at mashing the A button . I use both thumbs alternately for about 2.4x speed. 4 sec in Pokey Pummel in MP7.

Mario Party 1. God, I remember a controll stick physically exploding because of rotating it so much. I'm not even kidding, I can take pictures of the remains even. Springs popped out and everything, it was pretty hillarious ;x the whole stick unit just popped appart all over the place.

NES: Flat Thumbs
SNES: Same
N64: Control stick mini games of Mario Party 1. Enough said
Gamecube: None, haven't played it enough.
PS2: 2 controllers spiked on rug, on top of hardwood.
Guitar Hero: Not really an injury, but my biceps and triceps have gotten bigger from playing. As far as injuries, see this video!

I know, some are thinking, "Hard, big deal!" But expert is too overrated.

QFT, yeah the bicycle minigame with the boo. Ouch I still feel the burn. Other than this I can't think of anything in particular.

Sewing thumbs. Otherwise, not much past I've had my own share of wear from Cappy vs. SNK though.

That person is not human.

And as for the work-out on the arms, I totally believe it..mainly b/c I'm feeling it myself.

My thumbs and index fingers would often kill me on the old NES. Index fingers because I would switch to them after my thumbs started to hurt too much.
I play mostly on keyboard now though, and newer consoles don't hurt my digits nearly as much, so I don't really get any pains from playing now.

Now, injuries from playing songs on the piano? I can tell lots about those.

Oh, take it up with Joel Zumaya. (The fact that they put that into the game is the greatest thing ever.)

Don't stand too close to your opponent while playing Wii boxing. I've cracked a friend in the head by accident and vice-versa. I got bored of Guitar Hero after about an hour, probably because I have played the real thing for 18 years.

Second this... except during rotating parts, I'd use the middle of my palm... which was a much more painful area to get a blister.

xD

I remember trying snaking, but my fingers got way too tired too fast. :/

I did hurt my hand on the minigames from mario party 1. xD And truth to be told I didn't even own the darned game, I was playing at a friend.
