Going to use spoiler tags since the show will probably not have ran on the west coast yet:

Spoiler:

- Like DarkSlaya said, not a lot happens in this episode. It's more of a lead-up for the next two.

- Sylar visits his mother, and Hiro and Ando are trailing him. Sylar shows his mother some of his powers and she freaks out. He tries to calm her down but accidently kills her with a pair of scissors.

- Hiro stops time and is ready to kill Sylar, but Sylar breaks free of it somehow or Hiro stops it himself (I'm not sure). Sylar breaks Hiro's sword by freezing it and is about to kill him, but he teleports away with Ando just in time.

- Micah tries to escape where he is being held, but Candice's illusion powers keep him from leaving the room (this was pretty cool, he would pick a door and keep ending up where he started).

- The little girl that Matt Parkman found early on is dying, and has a power that lets her find anyone in the world. Mohinder helps her.

- We know now that Mrs. Petrelli is on the wrong side. She wants the "bomb" to go off and is revealed to be working with Linderman.

- Claire and Peter meet up with Mr. Bennet, Matt Parkman, and Ted Sprague. Peter's hands start glowing and then the episode ends.

Yeah, this episode didn't have a lot happening, but at the same time it wasn't really pointless or throw-away, or anything.

Next episodes will be epic.

Yup, a good, solid build-up episode. The Lost guys could take some notes from this...

At this point, the Lost guys could take notes from anything

I can't wait to see Peter go boom Why would Nathan arrest Ted, they shoot him, and he goes explodey.

Sylar goes demonic when he uses his powers, did you notice? His eyes were plain creepy...

Extreme spoiler for next season (adds to what Anya said), but I don't know if this is true or not:

Spoiler:

- The current Sylar will be killed, but the super-powered Sylar from the alternate future will take his place. If he wasn't enough of a god-modder before, he supposedly killed Peter in the fight just before Hiro and Ando teleported away which means he would have all of his powers and not need to eat brains to gain any more.

He would have all of these powers and more, either by having stolen them or mimicing them:

- Telekinesis
- Precognition
- Regeneration
- Phasing
- Superhuman Strength
- Ice Manipulation
- Fire Manipulation
- Radioactivity
- Time Travel / Teleportation
- Eidetic Memory
- Molecular Manipulation
- Enhanced Hearing
- Telepathy
- Flight
- Invisibility
- Illusions
- Memory Removal
- Power Negtation
- Power Mimicry

If this is turns out to be true, then..

If it's true, then all Homo Superiors are dead for sure...
Sounds like something they would do though.

EDIT: But wait. If Hiro kills present Sylar, wouldn't future Sylar cease to exist?

No, because the future Sylar is from an alternate time line that came from different actions. Time travel never makes any sense anyway.

The current time line is already not the same ever since Hiro and Ando went to the future and later came back.. which never happened in the original time line (according to the future Hiro).

Maybe he only still exists because of something in Hiro / Peter's time powers, and can't go back to where he came from or he would die. If this is all true, we'll see next season..

Well, maybe they'll end the show with the universe exploding due to a time paradox from Hiro screwing with the timeline too much

I heard in an interview on NBC with the cast that the last 5 minutes of the season finale are actually the first 5 minutes of next season.

Tonight's episode is going to be killer, plus I get to see it at 8 PM (7PM Eastern Time)!

There are some spoiler snapshots up at this site: http://heroes-spoilers.blogspot.com/.

Edit: I just watched the show, and it was pretty awesome. Cliffhanger ending, though..

Spoiler:

- Hiro stabs Sylar, and he throws Hiro far away with telekinesis to try and kill him. Hiro teleports away though, and at the end of the show we find out that he has travelled far back in time. An eclipse much like the one in "Genesis" appears, with Hiro staring up into the sky exactly the same way he did before.. and then the episode ends. Bah!

- Matt Parkman tries to shoot Sylar but all five of his shots are reflected back into him. He may or may not survive.

- Peter goes out of control as he feared. Claire goes to shoot him, but Nathan flies in at the last second and says there's another way. He picks up Peter and flies off high into the sky with him, where soon after is a huge explosion. Nathan did not survive, but Peter did.. along with New York.

- A trail of blood from where Sylar fell after being stabbed leads to a manhole cover.. which means that he did survive after all and will be back next season. At least this is better than the "alternate future Sylar" rumor that was floating around.

- Almost everyone survived. The only one who died certainly is Nathan Petrelli, unless he has radiation shielding that we don't know about.

It's going to be a long wait.

y, definately.
Spanish or English, it's an amazing show.
Last night's ep was... wow.
A bit of a cliffhanger ending though.
Did you notice that all the regular cast acquired their powers just before or just after the eclipse? It has to mean something...

Spoiler:
And was it just me, or did Sylar's blood look like it was oozing towards the manhole. Maybe Sylar inhabits bodies?

And what about the worse bad guy who can see Molly when he tries to find him... Sets NBC up for a couple more seasons at least.

Why do people think Nathan is dead? There is no proof Nathan is dead. He could have just as easily tossed Peter higher and then flown away, right?

Could the guy that sees Molly be the Hatian? What happened to him, anyway?

Yeah, but that would make the sacrifice much less meaningful and would be quite a copout. Though, Sylar seems to have survived so you never can know for sure. A cockroach was near the manhole in the same way as his other "death" when Mr. Bennet had him locked up, before he escaped.. it's likely he has another ability that we don't know about.

Nathan said goodbye to his brother (and that there was "another way") before taking off into the sky with him to save New York, so I'm pretty sure that he's probably dead. The death count for the season finale was quite less than I expected.

Note: Take what you read at spoiler sites with a grain of salt. Some stuff I've read turned about to be 100% WRONG, such as:

- Simone Deveaux not actually being dead, and having an ability of her own.
- A "future, alternate Sylar" being how Sylar comes back in Season 2.
- Many of the main cast being killed off at the end of Season 1.

Darckthunder: I don't think it's The Haitian.. the man she sees is probably someone yet to be introduced, and will be the main villain in Season 2. As for The Haitian, he seems to have disappeared. Except for the alternate future episode, he hasn't been seen since Claire first made it to New York.

Sylar is probably still alive. He does have tons of powers we don't know of yet (IIRC, there were some victims that were never introduced, so we don't know their power)

Note: This is a fanfiction, but it is a good theory on how Sylar may have survived.. both times that he "died":
