Posted by Xkeeper That's something I do, too. Especially when I download Bleach. At the time, there's like 15000 seeders and 2000 leachers, so I don't really seed. Unless I leave my client open for some reason. Posted by Coby I have 20gb down / 10gb up. Which is a problem for sharing, since I download lots of torrents. That means I can't always go to a 1:1 ratio. |

Unrepentant leech on Soulseek (I have wayyy too much stuff to share, and besides, it's just a matter of importing the MP3's into iTunes, then sacking them) which has gotten me banned by a couple of people (who are morons anyways). But with torrents, if it's something I'll be leaving there for a while, I'll share until I need to move or edit the files. |

I would share if I could get away with it. Which I can't.
My ISP keeps harping on me about going over their acceptable upload bandwidth limits. I've gotten 7 warning e-mails in as many years. Note that they've never actually bothered to tell me what they consider an acceptable upload bandwidth limit to be, so I just have to keep bumping around in the dark and hope I don't fall off the invisible cliff. Hence why I don't share. I keep uTorrent (1.5) capped at 6 kbps uploads, and as soon as my downloads are done I clear them and close the program. |

Heres my usual answer to any question asked about this topic.
I cannot confirm nor deny my involvement with the peer to peer scene. ____________________ What FF7: Advent Children Character Are You? |

I keep my client open until it reaches 1.0 (though it generally gets interrupted by reboots and shutting down overnight), but for some reason, nearly every torrent I download finishes with a share ratio of 0.0. Not a single byte is uploaded. Once it's done downloading then it will periodically seed very slowly. It took me about a week to upload all 96MB of OpenOffice, and ~20 minutes to download it. |

Actually, I'll usually allow seed ratios above 1 if I can on even my 56K. I recently got something around the 2 gig range and had a seed ratio of about 1.5 on a 56K.
I'm usually even more giving on a DSL connect, especially on lowly-seeded stuff that I think is worth sharing. At the very least, I try to keep it around 1.0. |

I take it you have a very affordable plan/tons of spare cash and never actually use the phone?
But if you're loaded, I'd have to ask why you have dialup... |

If the U.S. Government can use loopholes all the time then so can I.
I did not have downloading relations with that PC. ____________________ What FF7: Advent Children Character Are You? |

I'm pretty bad. Unless my client is left open (usually during the night or something), I'll remove the torrent once its completed.
Most of the stuff I download already has a ton of seeds and everything though, so .. meh. |

I've never had a download limit, or at least I never knew I had one. I watch a lot of stuff on YouTube, surf the web, and use AIM, but it's not like I'm downloading 100 movie trailers, 500 CDs, and 200 game demos every week or anything. It could be a really high limit.
I leech, but I very rarely use file-sharing networks. I do this old-fashioned thing called downloading most of the time and only turn to torrents if it's the only was I can get a file. I might download like 2 torrents a year. So I'm a very slight leech. |

Demonoid:
Uploaded: 21.83 GB Downloaded: 15.46 GB Ratio: 1.41 (Updated once a day) BoxTorrents: Down 66.03GB Up 86.08GB Ratio 1.304 Those are hardly the only places I download stuff from, but the others don't keep track of these things. I almost always go for at LEAST a 1.5 share ratio on all torrents. Sometimes there's just not enough demand for that to work out. |

I also can say that, if I have a download limit, I don't notice it. It's not like I download tons of crap, but I do use a good amount of bandwidth. If I have a download limit, it's more than most people could use up. ____________________ There are things I want to put here.
