It's a wonder how they got separated in the first place. I suppose General Chat was just a slightly moderated version of Craziness, before.

Well I think the reasoning was that more serious stuff would go in General Chat and less serious would go in Craziness... then the most serious stuff was segregated to Officer's and later Debate, and the craziest stuff went to Lost Threads, so GC and Craziness moved closer together.
