Seeing these become somewhat of a normal thing.. How many of these things do you drink daily to get your hit of energy?

Myself, typically two daily.

None. I just think that I don't need it. I mean, I've only ever had one, and wit wasn't a real energy drink. but yeah, none. eventually, I'll get into it though.

None, unless all the classical caffeinated soft drinks also count. I always found all those trendy energy brews like Monster or Red Bull to taste positively disgusting and not have any actual effect.

It depends. There are very few that I can drink that don't make me gag, crash, and that have a worthwhile effect on me. It also depends on how much work I will be putting my body through that day. Even more so, it depends on if I think I am going to need it.

Some days I need two to get through my shift. Other days just one. Most days I don't need anything but a substantial meal and water or sometimes soda. I'll vote "One", but it's between zero and one. Maybe two or three per week.

If homebrewed coffee counts; one. I don't drink energy drinks on a regular basis, though I am fond of a sugar-free Monster or Rockstar on the weekends from time to time (the ones with sugar give me a pretty bad crash). I won't even consider touching Red Bull though, unless it's on someone else's dollar; that shit is way too expensive to justify.

Lately, if I need a boost though, I just take a 200mg caffeine pill and a B-complex vitamin. It saves a fair bit of coin by comparison and has roughly the same effects.

I don't drink any I've never drunk any (save for Gatorade and Powerade) and I don't ever intend to eat or drink energy foods. I don't even drink coffee. I'm sure as a neck I won't drink Red Bull, Four Loko, AMP, and all those concoctions. I've never taken energy pills or things like 5-Hour Energy.

That's why you don't drink it.

Just curious, do you have a reason why not?

I never drink energy drinks. ...Or anything that's supposed to wake me up, really. I very rarely drink coffee.

I had one energy drink, a monster. I actually spread it out over a few days in the fridge for a few reasons: 1) I only wanted to stay awake for one period, and 2) It tasted like ass. I can normally keep myself up so I don't REALLY need it, but math can be an exception...

I don't drink energy drinks either. I stopped completely drinking pop a few years ago as well. I only drink water, milk and juice anymore. They give me energy if I ever even need it.

Why? Is it because Pop is acidic? Cause you need acid. helps your stomach, and fucking sucks towards Acid-reflex.

There is acid in the juices that I drink. It might be different but I never really bothered to look into it. I just didn't like how pop would make me feel after drinking it. If anyone could elaborate on any possible details regarding this, I would appreciate the read.

What might be different? The acids in each drink? Well, some are different, but a lot are the same, I'll get a link to a read-up that I can find, and see if its the best one.

Yeah, that's what I meant.

I just did a couple quick searches through Google and it seemed like eating actual fruits rather than drinking fruit juices is even better, which I do anyway since I eat a fruit snack and salad everyday. Most comparisons between soda acids and fruit acids seemed to be based primarily on their effects on teeth rather than the body as a whole as well.

Either way, I still don't think that I'm going to start drinking pop again. Back in public school, I had a friend who stopped drinking pop for a long time and then when he went to drink one again, it really upset his stomach because his body had gotten used to not drinking it. Not that I'm implying that I'd expect to get really sick from drinking a single pop after so many years, but it's just what I'm used to now and I don't really see a reason that I should bother to drink it again.

EDIT: Yeah, this has kind of gotten off-topic now, so there's no real need to further elaborate on it now unless energy drinks can somehow be incorporated in as well. Thanks again.

What if it was a treat and you had one say like....my dad has beers. He barely has one at all, but he'll drink one if offered, or once in a long while. Maybe you could do that? Still drink it, but not as often as every week or so.

I do recall there being some energy drink called "Gay Fuel" at some point in the past...
