This looks just like what Super Mario Land should have been. Nice work.

Hey, I didn't steal your name! I've had this name for a long time. Thanks for the walnuts though.

Actually I'm named after my multi-volume sci-fi fiction, Clockwork Fortress. But you can just pretend I was named after the song.

Instead of pixilating it, or reducing the number of shades, you could just use more Gameboy mario graphics from games like 6 Golden Coins or Wario Land. That would make the game much more nostalgic.

If Fu didn't invent Lunar Magic, the only good I can see coming out of that is that there would be a lot less noobish SMW mods floating around. Other than that, I can't see any positives. I use LM myself and it sure makes my life a lot easier. Much less ASM to wade through anyway.

Because the gameplay of Mario World is so much better than those games. I just like the graphics in them. A couple of the Wario tilesets are available at the ExGFX Workshop by the way.

My favourite Mario tune is World 6 of SMB3. Now that I mention it, I like all the tunes from SMB3.

I voted SMAS simply because the Super NES was the console that I grew up with and the first game I got for it was SMAS + World limited edition. I only ever played the NES Mario Bros. afterwards and the visuals and sound are rubbish. But that's just my opinion. If you played the NES version first, then you probably get a feeling of nostalgia that you just don't get on the SNES.

What I'm trying to say is the game engine of Super Mario World has the most potential. What with all the SMW hacking tools floating around, you can change almost all the bad points, like making the goombas back to the way they were, or making much more varied, challenging levels.

There were other exploits though, that you could only perform on the Super NES version. On a note, we could go on about this forever, as there are so many positives and negatives for both versions.

Very original graphics, although the hatless Mario sprite looks like the one done by Lario at http://www.lario.us

My votes have to go to Fusoya and Peter_ac. Without them, the hack I'm currently making wouldn't be possible.

My first hack, which I started working on a week ago, Clockwork Adventure stars a new look Toad (See screenies), who is tasked with retrieving the seven magic gears which were stolen by the birdos and hidden throughout the land of Clockwork Island. Thanks to Peter_ac for his SMB3 Graphics and Smallhacker for his fantastic tools

I was considering removing the !. I am still trying to hack the GFX file that contains the original graphics that were used for marios name. I am also working on the overworld and importing some graphics from SMB2. I will have a demo soon.

EDIT: Zachio, the toad with the red coat has fire power.
