I've ripped a background from zelda 3 as an sample and it works very good.
(here you can see an picture: http://www.freewebs.com/aganimagic/back%20zelda.PNG >16.1kb<). But when I open another level, the gfx glitchs up.
(click here for an image: http://www.freewebs.com/aganimagic/back2%20zelda.PNG >48.1kb<) Can sombody help me to fix this problem???

My last question:
Is it possible to make moving backgrounds, with animated water tiles or something. Can anyone tell me how to make a moving BG?

I´m trying it now with lunar magic 1.63. Thanks peter+ac.
I don´t know, it would help or not, but when it is better to use 1.63 I think it must work.
When I´ve problems again, I post them.

I´´ve dowloaded the newest version of LM, but I´´ve the same problem again. I find out, that the 8x8 tiles which were used for the objects are glitching up, when I change the FG3 to one of the ExGFX files.
Anyone an idea to fix it?

"Did you export, then reimport your GFX before using ExGFX. If you didn't, then your GFX will be screwed"

Oh, that was the mistake I made. Thanks, now it works correctly.

I've another problem now.
When I make a new BG and save them, all looks great in LM, but when I load the ROM with an emulator (I've tried it with ZSNES 1.36 and SNES9X 1.42) the BG looks screwed up. I think I didn't make any mistake. Can anyone help me?

I´ve downloaded the tool zcompress to edit the GFX in my zelda 3 hack,
but if I open zcompress, it will be closed in a second, so that I can´t use it.
I use windows xp with service pack 2.
Anyone can help me?

Yes,
zcompress works now. But I´ve another problem.
When I try to extract the gfx from my room, zcompress says:
"This rom has no 0x200 byte header" or something like this.

I do a new hack of SMW. It is called "Super Mario World - Kameks Mistery" (I don´t know if it is the final name right now).
Here some screenies:

MegaMan X gfx. I love the Mmx games.^^ I have problems with the BG.

The Mmx gfx, when you reach the end of the level.

I had a very hard work on the rain. In this screen it looks, like Marios pal changes every time. Thats a "bug" of the program i use to make animated Gif Files.

Thats my first "real" smw hack ever.
What do you think about the screenies?

By the way, the rain looks cool. Where did you get it from?

EDIT: You spelled "Kamek's Mystery" wrong.

My friend has given me a gfx file with the rain. I edited the rain gfx, so that I can make the little effects, like the blocks arte blocking the rain or something else.

And I spelled Kamek's Mystery wrong: I'm a German and not really good at English. But you've known that or not? (I hate it, when I don't know, if my text, I write is alright.
