Ok!
I'm actually from time to time on the board, though I'm not posting that much. But rest assured, work on Epic Racers still is flowing nicely. |

Did manage to get the final level of the game but got killed everytime by the last boss...I beat it with a Game Genie... I bought Startropics II new. Really loved that game too at the time although it was in many ways the same as part one. More of the same wasn't bad in this case. Overall, these were great games for the time. I'm still glad I have them in my RPG collection. This thread makes me think about them again, nice memories of times long ago. |

Ok!
I would love to join this tournament but have to wait another 3 weeks before I'll get this game since I'll be getting it along with a magazine I've ordered. Waiting can sometimes be hard. |

Yup, you can using an emulator and having the correct firmware. (some old version, search Google for it). Don't know much more about it since I don't own a PSP. For DS on the other hand you can play NES games too using Pocketnes (emulator to use on GBA and DS) if you own a flashcard. There is also a working SNES emulator called SNESDS which can be used too with a flashcard and a passme. Google is your friend here since I don't know if I'm allowed to post links here... |

I noticed the Mario Adventure downloads on my site were suddenly rising and I found out about this. Pretty sweet indeed. Congrats to you DahrkDaiz for making it so far. The TAS communicity is actually pretty big. |

For example, if you change E4 in 1CA80 to EB, it will show BATTLE COURSE 1 instead of MARIO CIRCUIT 1. and if you change E0 in 1CA74 to EC, it will show RAINBOW ROAD instead of MUSHROOM CUP. Good luck! |

I don't have that much hacks on my website but "thanks" to so many websites disappearing it might as well be the only place that some hacks are still hosted. So you might want to check it out for yourself which ones haven't been added to Romhacking.net . Great to hear you guys are working on it again by the way. |

A great achievement! Too bad I can't play it since my old computer doesn't really like N64 games. Though I'll just keep the patch for when I'll get a new computer sometime. But great work on this one! |

I'm Ok Impala! Been visiting this board for about 4 years now. Mostly the ROM hacking forum. I was very active before the new board came but now I just drop by now and then. As for ROM hacking projects. I've released many Dutch translations of games like Final Fantasy, Legend of Zelda and Super Mario World. Currently I'm working on a Dutch translation of Faxanadu and Zelda - A Link to the Past and of course Epic Racers with Stifu. Epic Racers is already the most extensive Mario Kart hack to date. In a few weeks we plan on showing some more screenshots here so an approval for both of us might me useful. |

Looks great to me! Seeing the succes of New Super Mario Bros. it's clear that people can't get enough of more and more Mario. I, for myself, like to play a great Mario hack from time to time. This one looks pretty promising so keep it up! |

I think this whole approval thing is a good idea. It will raise the quality in the ROM hacking forum and that's only a good thing. Many people start screaming when someone tries to regulate something here. But I rather have some regulation than a complete anarchy, so I fully go with the idea of approval. |

The long awaited update on our Super Mario Kart hacking project, Epic Racers - Impala Kart Courses, is finally here! Presenting all eight drivers: Stifu The obstinate Stifu is your man for a hard fight for the first place! Impala This good-natured animal appears to be a real race-monster when he's on track! Don A friendly fat-man. His boldness isn't always appreciated though. Camy Don't be fooled by her cuteness. This girl knows how to race! Troll His ugliness is only surpassed by his bold driving style! Sasori This maniac from the east is a real danger on the road! Jesus He uses heavenly powers, dare to oppose him! Loki It's Satan himself! He raced straight out of hell! And here are the newest screenshots. Note the new items and new scoring system along many other things that I leave for you to discover! The latest info can always be found on: http://stifu.free.fr and http://www.okimpala.com Enjoy! Stifu & Ok Impala! |

There are many plans for other track designs so what you see right now is not final at all. Although those are all completely new tracks, so we've already had much fun with our beta's. |

Ok!
But Stifu does talk and when he does it's something special of course. ANYWAY, we'll release a full list of all off-sets we've found after the release of Epic Racers - Impala Kart Courses. So, maybe other people can do some nice things with it. Though, even with our notes it will still be a lot of work. Hacking such a game in this way is not a simple task, but the result will be worth it. |

Ok!
I've been working on a Dutch translation of Zelda III - A Link to the Past for some time now and I'm in the stage of beta-testing now. Most of the script I inserted with help of Hyrule magic, only things like the item menu and several other small things were changed with an Hexeditor or Tile Molestor. Now, some strange bug has appeared in my translation. It only happens when some boss causes a tremor, like the boss of the first castle or the fight with Ganon when he makes the floor tiles disappear. The screen shakes in a very buggy way and starts flashing, after that either the game continues normally or it will freeze or the room will have moved up so you're stuck in a wall or you can't reach the boss anymore... The bug must have been caused by HM since it isn't there in an earlier back-up were all graphics and menu text is changed (but not all monologue yet inserted). Someone familiar with this bug and is there maybe a simple solution? Otherwhise, I'll have to insert the script again in the earlier back-up, not really a problem, but I'm just a bit curious too about this... _¬ |
