| I'm Stifu, I've always been found of drawing graphics on paper and on the computer, and have also been into amateur game creation for years now, through a couple of different programs, including The Games Factory and RPG Maker 95.
I discovered Acmlm's Board around 5 years, thanks to a pal who was a friend of Acmlm and introduced me to him, as I was looking for a better board system than ezboard. Anyway... Epic Racers, an ambitious Super Mario Kart hack that I'm working on with Ok Impala! and that has been started back in September 2003 is my one and only hack project... Although I wasn't new to hex editing and all that kind of stuff before starting. My role was just to take care of the graphics, but as Impala could use my help, I've been helping him with hacking too. We're going to show new screenshots of our hack pretty soon... In other words, our main contribution to the community will mainly be our SMK hack, along with a big chunk of SMK data. As few people are interested in SMK hacking, I don't often have the occasion to help people out, but I do occasionally as I jump in most SMK related threads, as I'm always willing to discuss the topic... But I have to say I don't especially feel like a helpful or friendly person.  But I don't troll.
On given occasions, I'm also critic when discussing about all kinds of graphics, as it's a subject I'm interested in. On a side note, the ROM hacking forum is basically the only one I read and (used to) post in, and the only reason that keeps me coming back here. By the way, while I'm here... May I also request the approval of Ok Impala! ? Ever since he registered at Acmlm's, he proved to be a mature and nice guy (easily more so than me ). He only visits occasionally though, which is why I'm asking for him to be approved too, so as not to lose time next time he drops by.(edited by Stifu on 08-14-06 11:13 AM) |

I'm Ok Impala! Been visiting this board for about 4 years now. Mostly the ROM hacking forum. I was very active before the new board came but now I just drop by now and then. As for ROM hacking projects. I've released many Dutch translations of games like Final Fantasy, Legend of Zelda and Super Mario World. Currently I'm working on a Dutch translation of Faxanadu and Zelda - A Link to the Past and of course Epic Racers with Stifu. Epic Racers is already the most extensive Mario Kart hack to date. In a few weeks we plan on showing some more screenshots here so an approval for both of us might me useful.  |

| I'll post in this thread too, as I'm also from the board of Stifu, so I tend to think that I'm part of "The Stifu Group".
Although not as useful as many, I have alot of spare time on my hands, so I have no problem in testing and commenting (maturely) about other people's hacks. Postivie and constructive comments are an important part of the ROM hacking community, and I feel that I can bring plenty of good stuffs to that place. Just like Stifu, the ROM hacking section of Acmlm's is my main attraction to this place, and I'd like to share my two cents.

| Well, I think we've all been approved anyway.
Impy and I have already posted, so there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to. I'm guessing that this new 'approval' thing is just to weed out the annoying people. "OMG! HI! GFX HAK OF DK!" Stuff like that.
