Here's a hack that was being worked on between my other hacks in progress. I know I said months ago that I gave up SmB1 hacking, so sue me. You'll notice that there's a few changes in this hack, like shooting while being small. Well, try out the hack if you have free time, now for some screens...

I'm glad that you enjoyed my hack, and thanks to everyone who gave it a shot. I'm sorry if it was too hard for some, I swear on my brother's grave that I toned down the difficulty. I guess you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Even if this hack was done on the side along with my other projects, I still had a ball hacking SmB. If I ever work on another SmB1 hack, it'll have to be with someone else, stay tuned...

I bought GTA Libert City Stories for Ps2 this past Tuesday, but I didn't get into the game until earlier today. Well while I needed a break from playing it I took at look at DD's Ms. Pac-Man editor, so I started to take a poke at it and within a few hours here's the result. All the levels are done. So if you have some time to kill try it out.

I played through all the stages with no prollem, so here's the pics...



And get the patch here. Enjoy the hack, and please look at the readme, thanks.

Okay fabio I went through the game and that's level 17, and it's also level 30. So I redid the level and here's the pic, It's the best I can come up with that wouldn't be glitched. xD

It sounds like a header issue (I could be wrong though) But go to file and save a M3L level from a clean SmB3 rom and put it back in your hack. I did that a few times when I was hacking Wario 3. Hope that'll help you out some.

I was messing around with FcEuXd 1.06 last night with Balloon Fight and I found some things that might interest somma ya's. So I'm gonna copy and paste what I wrote down last night. I dunno if anyone else found this out years ago, but here goes...

Balloon Fight data by Googie. June 20th. 2006 ^^;

Editing RAM Offsets in FcEuXd 1.06 in the hex editor...


000080: 0x000088 - That's where player one is, change 02 to 01 so the main character have one balloon and press 00 to make him sink into the water losing a life, press FF is make him disappear (You lose a life doing that) when you have one balloon press 02 to make him have two balloons.

000080: 0x000089 - That's where player two is, do the same thing with player one. You can bring in the second character in a one player game but when he dies and you wanna bring him back he'll just go into the water (You won't even see him but you'll see the water splash sprite)

000080: 0x00008a - 0x00008f

That's where the enemy data is, wait until they're flying in the air and torture them. Press 01 to make them have their parachute, press 00 to make them fall in the water while they're flapping their arms. Press FF to make them disappear and press 80 to turn them into the bubble that comes out of the water. (The level will be cleared when you do that)

Adding enemies in level one and two and three...

Yeah you can add an extra enemy, in level one you'll start with three enemies you can add an extra enemy by going to 0x00008f and press 02. The extra enemy will pop up from the top left corner of the screen acting like a normal enemy. But when you go to 0x00008d and 0x00008e and press 02 there two more enemies will come out but they'll act very unstable, they'll try to get you by flying really fast but sink in the water in the process.

In level two you'll start with five enemies, you can add one more by going to offset 0x00008f and press 02, the enemy will pop up from the top left of the screen and he'll act just like a normal enemy. To add an enemy in level three do the same thing with level two.

Adding enemies in the Bonus Stages...

By going to offset 0x00008a and 0x00008f and pressing 02 you'll have two enemies coming to get you. One will pop up from the top right corner of the screen and the other will appear on the floor in the middle of the screen, when you pop their balloons they won't die and they'll come after you again and faster, since there's no water. And they'll be blinking too, when you add them they'll have the bonus balloon's palette until you pop their balloons.

Start with one balloon.



Have player two in Game A.



Make the enemies have their parachut without hittin'em.



Have the enemies fall into the water without hittin'em.



Turn the enemies into bubbles. This will cause the level to be cleared.



Enemies disappear. This will also cause the level to be cleared.



Having four enemies in level one.



Having five enemies in level one. Note: the enemy with the yellow balloon goes crazy.



Having six enemies in level two instead of five.



Having six enemies in level three instead of five.



Here's an enemy in Bonus Stage one.



Here's an enemy in Bonus Stage two. I couldn't take a snapshot of the second enemy cause when you make them appear they blink alot. That's pretty much it for now...

Yeah, this hack is pretty sweet, I really dig the Jugem cloud throwing down lightning. Pretty neat stuff. I'm halfway through it now.

Sliver X: You have no idea how much I wanna burn this hack to play it on my Sega Dreamcast. The old enemies from part 1 is a nice touch too.
