I posted some screens of my AltMario hack here, before the board reset. I would like to know how to make all the ghost sprites semi-transparent, so that they all look the same. At the moment, it's a mix of solid and transparent ones:

Economic Left/Right: -3.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.92

I remember being further to the economic left last time I took that test, but I'm still just as socially liberal as ever.

Do I need to use YY-CHR for that, or can it be done in Lunar Magic? I still can't get used to seeing all the graphics in those weird colours in YY-CHR, but I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually.

HoverDesk is quite good. The only problem I've had with it is that you need to make a different version of your theme for every resolution you use (lots of games tend to switch your desktop res), which takes a while.

I also did a Doom 3 theme.

Some software firewalls can block animated images. I think it's a default setting in the latest version of ZoneAlarm too, so I don't see walking either. It just sort of floats along, heh.

Bionic Commando - the only platformer I know where you can't actually jump.
Bubble Bobble - as if the others hadn't said it enough already.
Elite - one of the greatest games in the history of ever.
Kirby's Adventure - a classic, already mentioned.
River City Ransom - the best side scrolling beat-em-up ever made. period.
Solar Jetman - it's good, but I think I'm the only one who has ever heard of it.
Spy vs. Spy - just for it's sheer crazyness.
Trog - sort of like pac-man, only much better.

If you can see my layout, you can probably guess, heh.

The original Doom series still has a massive editing community and plenty of new maps to play. There are also source ports for every operating system going, which add new features to the engine like slopes, 3D floors, OpenGL support, etc.

In slightly smaller amounts, I've also been known to play:

Battlefield 1942 + Desert Combat / DCX
UT (the original one, not those yearly cash-ins)
Jedi Academy
StarWars Battlefront
AvP 2

Ugh... I certainly hope no one bids on "Rise of the Robots".

*shudders*

Ooh, "Spiderman vs. Venom: Maximum Carnage", now there's a good game. Although the box lied and said it was two player, when it isn't.

I was browsing through ModDB and happened to come accross a feature article about this exceptionally cool game being developed. It's called Infinity, and I would consider it to be a close spiritual successor to Elite, one of my all time favourite games. Unlike Elite, however, this has phenominal graphics and it's also an online game. From what I've read so far, it sounds too good to be true:

Here's a link to the Article:
http://features.moddb.com/223/?fpage=0

The mod page itself:
http://mods.moddb.com/6313/Infinity-The-quest-for-Earth/

And the project's homepage:
http://www.fl-tw.com/Infinity/

Be sure to check out the video. It's ~39mb, not ideal for slower connections, but definitely worth the wait. It looks stunning.
