I'd like the following, if possible:

1: A "coin" that adds 1 to your coin count, but has the following special features:
-If you leave the level this object/sprite is on by way of an exit enabled object/sprite (If there is a sprite that sends you to another level.), or if you lose a life after touching the midway point tape, this "coin" won't reappear.
-If you collect a certain amount of these in the same level number, a certain block will lower when you collect the last one. (This is why they don't reset- If they did, you could leave and re-enter the level number as much as you want to collect the required amount of "coins".)

2: A "gate" that lowers when the aforementioned "coins" (I call them Red Coins or Silver Coins.) are collected. These are its special features:
-It can't be passed until the Silver/Red Coins are collected on the same level number.
-There's more than one type, and they're called "x-Red/Silver-Coin Gate", where "x" is the number of Red/Silver Coins needed to lower the gate. It can be 3, 5, 7, or more.
-Sprites can't pass it until you lower it.
-If you leave the level to the overworld by clearing it or dying before you reach midway, this, along with the Red/Silver Coins, is reset.

I hope these are possible to have. They would make for great puzzles. Those, combined with all the other Custom Blocks, would make a really confusing (Not to mention long.) puzzle.

I've heard that you use the Animated Hurt Blocks. You can put them anywhere that has a blank space that isn't used by the game already.

Have you used Super GFX bypass to insert the custom GFX for the sprites? If that won't work, why not open a tile editor, view the enemies (Whether in the tile editor or not.), and copy them into the GFX.bin files that have the enemy sprites? That should work. (By the way, if you are working on a Kirby-based hack, I can't wait to try it! I've always liked Kirby's Dreamland 3!)

Any. IPS files aren't the actual ROMs. Sending them as ROMs is illegal. However, with a program like Lunar IPS, you can find an un-patched ROM on the internet and use the program to patch the ROM with the IPS patch. IPS patches are legal.

You can't load them on an emulator. Download the program called Lunar IPS and use it to put the IPS patch on a ROM, and THEN you can load it in your emulator.

I've been inspired to create a hack that stars Kirby, so I went to the Shyguy Kingdom to get graphics of Kirby from Kirby's Dreamland 3. I noticed that the graphics were larger than Super Mario World's Mario graphics (The Kirby graphics would've taken up 4 16x16 tiles!), so I decided to open the picture I got from Shyguy Kingdom and try to draw Kirby smaller. It's going okay so far, but Kirby is a bit small, and only one position looks right- Him standing still. I tried drawing him running, and it looked terrible. So, here's my question:
Is there anywhere I could find good Kirby graphics that are Super Mario World size?

Um.. Yes, actually, it was. Actually, all I've got is the Kirby tiles. That's all.

Oh, that was the first Kirby game I played... Still, I like Kirby's Dream Land 3's graphics better. I don't know why, especially since Kirby Super Star had even better graphics!

Edit: Okay, I've got the tiles from Kirby's Adventure, but... They look weird.

Pikaguy, doing a kirby hack would be very hard. You would have to have a small kirby, a taller kirby, and then caped kirby and fire kirby (who doesn't use different graphics, just different palettes, so it may look weird). Then a whole new palette set for player 2 (who can be disabled, though). But if you can make a good looking kirby hack, I'll be impressed. I tried once, and failed pretty hard.

Oh, I'll make it work. Hopefully. Sometimes, I trash ideas before I even work on them.

Has anyone seen any FG/BG tiles of pipe interiors, preferably from DKC3, YI, or NSMB? If not, that's okay.

I mean big enough to fit a whole level in, like in Yoshi's Island, New Super Mario Bros., and DKC3. I was going to put that I didn't want the ones from Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga, but I felt that it wasn't needed.

Does anyone know where the secret exit in Harmony Island 2 is? I've fallen down a few pits to find it, but I haven't found it yet. I'm also searching for the secret exit in Luccara Plains 2. I can find the key, but it's like the Keyhole is missing. (Or is that the level where the Keyhole is right above the Key? I don't remember.)

Edit: Nevermind about the Luccara Plains 2 Keyhole. I can't believe its location is obvious, and the key is with it. I guess I never did find that thing.

I would like approval for posting on the Super Mario World Hacking forum. I have yet to complete a hack, but I'm working on one right now. I'll admit, I am no good when it comes to making names for a full hack or whatever, and I can't darw very well, but I do make hacks and the like for one basic reason- for fun. I don't make hacks so I can prove myself or anything. I only make them to have fun, and it's better when I can try my best to make something that others will think is fun. I'm not saying that you absolutely must allow me to post in the forum, but if you deny me, that's okay with me.

Edit: Oh, I forgot to mention. If I am allowed to post on the forum, I promise to help anyone with their problems if I can. I'll do what I can to help anyone, no matter what. I've already helped someone on SMW Central with inserting some custom blocks.

I have a few questions about this:
1: How will we know if we are accepted or denied?
2: How long does it usually take to accept/deny someone?

It usually does not take longer than a day or two, depends on the schedule of the admins and whatnot.

After you make a thread in this forum, you check back after a few hours or a day or two. You will know you have been approved by what an admin says in your thread. They will generally say "approved" or "rejected"

Also if you approved you will see this picture --> next to your name in the forum index. (Where it says who started what thread)

Okay. I already posted there, so... I'll wait until tomorrow, then I might bump it. Thanks. I thought that no one posting means "you're denied".

Oh, sorry. I read in the rules that after a while, you can bump the thread. Oh well. Since it annoys you, I promise not to do it.
