Hi, my name is Cory and I am venturing into the career of video game design. I planned to use Lunar Magic to practice and hone my skills at design. I have a few problems that I constantly run into with the program but once I figure it all out, I can then truly create a custom made Super Mario game. Sorry about the other thread, i was trying to get it to post w/o writing the same thing a dozen times b/c it wouldn't let me post here earlier. Anyways, I use the pcx way (How do you use the GIF2snes for the code? What version/format of GIF do you use?) Anyways, is there any way to make a new 8x8 page so that I can insert a background with like 300 tiles and it won't mess it up? How do you reduce the amount of tiles in a picture? Also, how do you make a blank ExGFX page? And lastly, is there any easier way to map the tiles so it doesn't erase the needed ones (Extended animation, sprites, land, etc.) without having to use the one included in the M16-7k menu (ex. Where you highlight 001 and set it to paste over 300 in the 8x8 editor.) Thanks!

Is there any way to insert a new blank 8x8 tile page so that you can insert a PCX file with over 180 tiles for a good background? Or, as an alternative, is there any way to decrease a picture's tiles while keeping it intact?

I just downloaded it, but haven't played it yet. If it's 1/2 as good as Panic in the Mushroom Kingdom, I'll enjoy it. When is the fianl version of PITMK2 coming out and what are the 2 games mentioned earlier (SSM's future SMW hack Mario and Luigi's Grand Adventure)?

I downloaded the Super Demo World 3 game, but it was the rom, NOT an ips. When I follow the instructions on how to patch it ot Super Demo World and use it in my patch, it says "Rom does not have a 0X200 byte Header" and it doesn't work. I tried SNEStool and it didn't fix it. Any way to modify a rom to have a 0X200 byte header?

I have 2 old demos on my website (SMW3 and Super Mario Island), but they got deleted from the website I hosted them on. I have screen shots of my overworld and title screen for my newest (Super Mario's Quest) but no download yet because I haven't changed any of the levels yet, though I plan to put extra backgrounds in it.

Are there any ways to reduce the number of tiles a picture uses? (I tried to make the picture smaller, but then it actually had more tiles.) And how exactly do you use 2 GFX pages for the same background?

I may or may not 'spruce it up' but I know for sure I'm going to start another background tonight. This one I inserted it over the original level 105 graphics, but in my next one I'll use ExGFX so I won't delete over any other original SMW GFX. I'll probably do a volcano or a jungle. Or maybe a metropolis or a castle background. I'm not entirely sure.

My next background. The foreground color @ night doesn't look right though...
I probably won't update this until I make more backgrounds/changes to the game that aren't small and 1 every day. Should I make a new thread when I do? (Because this one will be old and probably deleted or moved.)

As far as a hack with no ExGFX goes, it looks pretty good, except for the bouncing poke heads as mentioned before.

Is there any way to make custom overworld graphics without using tile editors? (I HATE tile editors, they're so confusing, I use the 8x8 and 16x16 tile editors included w/ LM.)

I need help with extended animation in Lunar Magic. I think I understand how to set it up to run the animation, and place it where I want it to go (Place the tile # of where you want it in the destination and the animation tiles (Each animation frame below the preceding one) in order. It says you can only use the animation tiles on page 0X5, but it won't let me add new animation tiles there (it says "cannot modify internal/static GFX data") I tried to use tiles on page 0X1 (where my background ExGFX are) but it won't let me. How do you add new animation tiles? Also, how would you make a an animation with 4 tiles (16x16) tiles?
