Silvershield: renember the link I posted some time ago to prove sientifist worry about moral, did you at least read it? it say that once a certain line of cell devlopped that mean the zygote have a certain chance to be able to suffer and this is essentially immoral to abort it. also if you guy worry THAT much about moral, why are you christian, this religion caused more suffering and death than Hitler, but you consider Hitler evil and christianism good

I apologise for my last post, I was in very bad mood, and, even if I don't agree with what the christian did, that not a reason to flame them all

I'm almost sure each of them write to the sprite Id table ($671-$675), just add a write breakpoint here with FCEUXD

no, he didn't banned blackhole89, Smallhacker Juggling Joker and Beneficii, wich lead me to the conclusion that he didn't banned them because they were ROM hacking-related staff

BTW, we should also get a replacement name for 'custom sprite', in the hack database 'custom sprite' used to tell that sprite GFX got changed, while some people use it to describe when someone change a sprite ASM code, we need to get a new word for this too

1.What draws you to the ROM hacking community?
the number 255, since young, I alway wondered why it appear in so many game, this is one of the first reason why I wanted to learn Hex/ASM

2. Do you think playing/modifying hacked ROMs should be more user friendly?
not really, since a full-featured editor demotivate people to learn ASM, and, like Smallhacker said, ASM allow people to depend less from editor and other person

3.What are the advantages/disadvantages of ROM hacking vs. ripped sprites with code written from scratch?
its all depend on what you're wanting to do and the game you're hacking, some game are too crappy coded to allow easy graphic/level/ASM modification

4. Do you think there are limits to what people should be allowed to do with their games?
the only limit is the one given by the actual hardware

5. What do you think about the future of the ROM hacking community?
being closer to the video game company, more and more company add level editing support for their game, I consider this a step forward

that because, according to wikipedia, X5 was supposed to be the last one of the X serie

the only person I renember who started a sprite code disassambly is well... me. also, the 'rideabillity' for the Mega-mole is done inside Mega-mole ASM code, meaning that making a sprite 'rideable' isn't as simple as enabling a bit in MWR

you could make it shoot on the left if mario is on the left and right if Mario is on right, since the facing thing, just don't have any sense
