Hurricanes win 2-1 in OT.
Good game, however, the referees can't do their damn job.

Saku Koivu was hit (hi-stick), he got an injury from that and no penalty.

Damn, IMO Montreal played a much better game.

And that was NOT a classic OT by any means. Either team could have won it but that penalty hurt and Bonk not having his stick (due to him giving it to Souray since he originally lost it) didn't help on the kill.

Habs will bounce back next game. They'll be frustrated about tonight, but not heartbroken.

I don't think Dallas can come back. Seems Colorado is a much better team right now, playing with all of their skill. Dallas isn't playing as well.

New Jersey will probably win their series too. New York isn't playing well.

Montreal might win if they play like their first 2 games.

Detroit seems to be playing great but Edmonton is just playing a bit better. Yzerman is questionable for tonight's game from a back injury which you could clearly see in last game's first OT. GO WINGS!!!!

Edmonton's been getting lucky--detriot may have won that 2OT game if the the moorings didn't come off in the 1st OT; if edmonton wins game 4, then I consider detriot done for.

dallas hasn't gotten their act together for the playoffs.

if both dallas and detroit fall out and san jose advance, home-ice

I'm sorry acillatem, I gotta disagree with you there. From what I see, we (Detroit) haven't been nearly as agressive as we should/could/ and have been. I see alot of falling back into our own zone. Expecially in that game. Take the puck out of our zone. Just drive it to the Oilers zone, work on getting over there instead of comeing back into ours. And they really need to stick it to the Oilers when they have the power play. I see the wings trying to set up a play... but that is all... alot of 'passing'. Take it to the goal, take what you can, get the rebound (that is, if there is one).

At least they tied the series. I guess I kind of worded that wrong or something. They weren't really playing their best like in the season. It hasn't seemed that they've been on their game like the should be.

Last night was a great game and they connected with their plays even without Yzerman. Although Lidstrom should have gotten penalized for that hit before his goal, it helped the team with that win.

The crowd over in Edmonton is kinda angry. Every little thing that happens makes them go crazy. They said on OLN that they broke a record for how loud they got.

I hope the Red Wings win it.

Anaheim defeats Calgary in OT to tie series, Giguere still perfect in 8 straight playoff overtimes. Except for that 3 minutes of Iginla controlling the universe the Ducks put in a solid effort all the way to put away the Flames. Some of the Flames most prized defenseman are like -6, gahahaha.

GO DUCKS!!

Dallas won their game 4-1. A near sweep but Dallas destroyed that chance.

Detroit just lost their game 3-2. The series the Oilers up 3-2. Detroit has to win both to stay in it. COME ON DETROIT!!!!!!!!

legace is doing all he can--all goals scored by edmonton were due to deflections or off of rebounds. Detriot seem to have lost its edge since yzerman went down...

I hope Yzerman comes back the next game. It could be a great morale booster for the team. Legace isn't at fault at all. He seems to make great saves when he needs to. The defense needs to get into the game and actually defend a little better. All I can do is hope for now.

Yzerman is thinking about retireing too so if he can't play next game and they lose, then I hope he comes back next year.

GO RED WINGS!!!!!!!

We're OK, we're OK... we're only down 3-2 to Carolina... even though we won the first two, we're due for a win... the series will go 7 games. I'm sure of it.

San Jose finishes off Nashville
Dallas has been eliminated
Detriot needs to also be eliminated (probable) or Calgary loses to Anahiem (not probable) to give the San Jose home ice in 2nd round. If detroit is eliminated, the sharks most likely will play colorado.

Steve Yzerman's back injury is day to day so I hope he's good enough to play tonight. I hope Detroit can at least force a game 7. They might not have been on their game for a while, but I still think they can come back and win. This could be the last game, I just hope not.

Calgary probably has theirs won.

Montreal has their share of good and bad games so I hope they come back.

Buffalo should have theirs done too but there's no guarantee there.

Sooo...

Anybody see the BS Oiler win? Given, the last goal was legit... but the tieing goal before that. The one that was kicked in from the glove.

Now... before I get flamed to hell and back, let me say that I am a fair guy. I am honest. I am a very good sportsmen. I take my losses when I get them because I learn from them. I could care less if my home team did lose because I like just watching the game.

However, that was a shoddy call. It was a hard one, given, but a bad one. The wistle should have been blown at the high sticking... that's not so bad though. Stuff gets missed and there is no penalty... it's saved our team once or twice before.

When the goalie had the puck in his glove... the wistle should have been blown. I can see how they didn't because everyone was infront of the goal, but you saw he had it though. But when, on a video review that shouldn't have even taken place, you see the player pull back his foot and kick the glove...

I'll just stop there. I'm not bummed about losing, keep that in mind, just losing on an obvious call like that.

Well, you won't get flamed by me because I agree fully on that. When you watch that replay, the Oilers player is looking straight at the puck, then you see his foot go right into it.

Everything you said was how I feel too. Besides the fact there were a few bad calls, it seemed Detroit let them have those chances. I still think it should have happened in Detroits favor for that goal but we gotta wait til next year.

*bangs head against desk softly*

Why... just over a minute into OT... bad goal... didn't even think it would go in until the red light went on... how...

(Carolina win 4 straight and win tonight, 2-1 in OT. Montreal's out.)

One more game before we start the 2nd round -- Go ducks! because I think san jose will have an easier time with edmonton than colorado...

I'd rather see the Ducks win it. Then we'll have ourselves the top 3 Western Conference teams knocked out.

I still can't believe how lucky Carolina got with that OT goal. How the heck that puck found the corner of that post then goes into the net. Unbelievable even though I seen it. I would have rather seen Montreal move on.

YES!

This is it... game 7... of the game 7 rejects!!

I expect this one to go into OT and not some boring 3-0 Brodeur crap. Calgary's a tough team, Ducks gotta make them pay! Stand up to Iginla and his assclownery!

I'm shocked that Babcock's club lost in the first round to the 8th team. Sounds like you guys had a bad call. Ducks had that problem in Game 6. Blatant Selanne goal waived off. Puck in the net like 2 seconds before another player made marginal contact with the goalie and was given an interference penalty for it. Dumb.
