Wii? Interesting It sounded decent being called the Revolution before, but with the new name, I don't know what to think of it It's different, to say the least. The only thing I can see this really making a big change in (at least for me) is having to walk up to the counter at EB Games and asking them when they're taking preorders for the Wii as opposed to the Revolution

It seems like an amazingly awful name right now, but I suppose it could end up being one of those things that grows on you after a while. We'll just have to see

I can't help but grin at this new development.

I liked the name "Revolution" but "wii" just doesn't jump at me. Now immediatly at least.

Oh well. It's just a name. Though. I don't think I can tell my friends about this with a straight face.

And I thought that the Xbox 360 was poorly named. This is rather disappointing, at least for me. I think Revolution would have been a much better final name.

Yeah, it is something that would take some time getting used to. It's like the unveiling of the controller all over again.

After seeing all the jokes everywhere.. The "touching wii" stuff, the "wii will rock you", and etc... I've come to realize how genius this thing is. It's setting a large fire that's spreading like crazy, and it hasn't even been that long. The name pierces people's minds, and gets stuck in there. Well, in most cases, anyway.

Lighten up. Sure it's a sad excuse at a "new age" title (iPod, 360, et. al), but it's interesting nonetheless. Also, it's less effort to say. Re-vo-lu-tion vs. Wii. I'll pick whichever one takes less effort. Don't care about anything besides gameplay.
