| I don't think it's really part of the FAQ to discriminate against people for their personal beliefs. Now, if/when he starts persecuting other users for that, that's another story. As it is, bringing that discussion into this thread is really inappropriate and just trying to start unneeded trouble, particularly when there are better venues for that discussion. | |||

If your mom has rascist feelings against the girl that you're dating, then you know what? She has rascist feelings for the girl that you're dating. It's as simple as that. Believe me, trying to convince a rascist that different people are the same is like trying to eat a rock, even showing them pictures of the anatomies of different races in comparison will do nothing. So just suck it up. Don't let your mom control your life, don't let your brother's comments rile you up, and don't let your dad beat you up. All in all, the above sentence could apply to numorous people on this board, with different details for each. What matters in the end is, is the girl ho- I mean, does she have a beautiful intellectual mind? And firmly shutting the lid opened on the first page of this thread, Jesus was neither black nor white. He was invisible, because being the son of God gave him super powers. |

| Well it's been like almost a month since I last posted here, but she's getting worse again!
I'm at my wit's end guys. I'm ready to start rampaging the house, and throw things. I'm not playin' around anymore! She's getting bad again! Me and this girl are finally officially a couple. I'm going to do what I want to, and if my mother scares this girl away because of her racism, then I'm packing up and heading to Colorado where I grew up. I have friends there, and I don't want to come back to Indiana where there are too many hicks! I'm tired of these old rednecks ways; this generation is different, we don't see color! So who cares!! I'm going to make this relationship work, or I'm moving to Colorado andl living with my best friend. I can't handle this anymore! I'm going out with her, and that's where I stand; if my Mom doesn't want to speak to me, then so be it! I'm tired. I'm ready to start burning some rebel flags, and spit at the hick title!!!!!! Seriously, IMO there's nothing wrong with being racist or prejudice, it's part of who some people are. Just as you tolerate their racism, in their eyes they're tolerating you dating a black chick zomgz. But really, this thread might have to go for a trip based on some of the replies I've seen |

| Well, I think perhaps the best tactic is to bring up exactly what you've said here with your mother, directly. State point blank that you're not going to put up with it, and you're leaving if she doesn't stop being a bitch about it. You tell her that nothing she does is going to change your mind on it, so if she cares about you and wants you around, she'd better change how she acts. You're not going to get her to change how she thinks, but perhaps you can change how she acts if she does care about having her son around. | |||

Either a certain someone's feeling a bit emo the weather, or his mom is really so strong about her rascist beliefs that she's willing to disown her son. If that's the case, then maybe a little seperation will make her realize how stupid her hating of people for things as little as sking color really is. | Yeah, I really don't know why this is still open. I know Rydain opened it when people cooled down, and if someone wants to do that again in a few days, then go for it. But once again, it's a flamefest. |
