Does anyone have any documents on hacking the GS series? Like hex related stuff on monster data or whatever I have no idea what I'm doing...
And does anyone know where any utilities may be, that work? I've tried most of the stuff at pokedrome and random google searches, the tools either don't work or are in German. The only tool I have that works is GoldMap. Any help here is appreciated, I looked throught the threads here and can't find anything about hacking this series, mostly R/S stuff. The only thing GS related I've seen is amnesiahacker's hack on the 2nd page. And the stuff about the text... |

as great as Hack-o-matic is, I often have trouble actualy finding the map I want to edit. If it had a list of valid maps that you could choose from to edit, I'd be all set. | |||

Thanks for the docs. I'll try out Hack O Matic as well, never found a link to it so I never got it.
[edit]Still prefer GoldMap for mapping, HoM is just... weird, took forever to find the right map. And TBC is screwed up, something in the code I think, like a RT: 91 error. (edited by Krusty Toenail on 04-19-06 10:50 PM) |

Okay, I seem to have run into a problem involving map connections, and I can't figure out how long the map headers are, if someone could please tell me how long the map headers are or give me an example of one I'd be happy. I've been staring at New Bark's header (I think) and all I can work out is the border block byte and the map width height bytes, thats all. Help me please, my first night at hex
And those docs have nothing on maps and Gold Map nor HoM can do connections. |

Use ZeroMap then, it's in German but heck, it supports connections Also there are plenty of documents concerning map connections..
