The line art isn't by me. I haven't really gotten into pixel art in a while, and I'm just practicing coloring skills here. Shading has always been a challenge, for some reason it tends to come off as rushed and confused. I'm looking at his clothes and something isn't quite right.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

For the most part, the shading is good, but it gets a little too dark around his knees.

Edit: Also, you might want to darken the area around his nose. At first I thought it was his eye.

The knees look too high, and the right leg appears to be longer than the left leg... And the face seems rather odd. The nose bleeds into the left eye, and the mouth is elevated too much on the left side relative to the position of everything else.

It looks pretty decent. I cannot, however, tell that the left-eye is really a left-eye.

It appears that way, yes. However, my legs are both the same length, and I stand like that pretty often. If I had to guess the explanation, having more pressure on the one leg makes it look shorter for some reason, I dunno.

But if you read the thread, you'd see that all she did was the coloring, and I don't think that would have anything to do with one leg looking shorter than the other.

Yeah Kyouji, did you read the thread, or even her post? She's only asking about how the shading is, and since you didn't mention it, I assume you think it's good.

Did you guys not see the art, or what? It appears that way BECAUSE of the way it's colored. The knees and the eyes, the way they look puts too much emphasis on them and skews the overall image and makes it appear that, uh, the leg is long and the face bleeds together.

The shape of the mouth and the length of the legs have nothing to do with the shading.

Danielle, you don't get it. At all. The lineart wasn't hers. But the coloring is. She shaded where she thinks the knees are with what everyone? DARKER COLORS!

The legs neve had knees in the line art.

YD made knees by coloring them.

Did I even mention knees in my post?

I said, "the shape of the mouth and the length of the legs have nothing to do with the shading."

The shape of the mouth and the length of the legs are part of the lineart, both of which Kyouji criticized.

I thought he was criticizing the height up to his knees.

He was, Shyguy. He was.

He was wrong about the mouth, though. I'm sure it looked like it was just dark red, but it does in fact have a black outline.
