| I lived in with my friend last year, but then he got married, and so I had to move back here; and I need a better job, plus I want to go through college while I'm at home so I can save more. Believe me! I would be on my own by now if I could afford it; when I moved out, it felt like a huge burden was lifted off of me; I didn't have to worry about anyone....
But you know what, guys?... I'm not worrying about tham anyway. So I'll enjoy my life on the outside, while I'm at home I'll suffer, but one this I've always said was: "I'd rather have a bad home-life and a great out-life, than the other way around... (edited by Skyon on 04-12-06 02:16 PM) |

| She acts like shes cool with everyone until I mention anything about going out with a girl of a differnt color. On day I watched Lisa Tucker on Amrican Idol, and I thought she was one of the most cutest black-girls I've ever seen, but when I said that, she's started commenting on how my kids would have "nappy" heads, and that their family would make fun off me. What was she talking about!!?? I only said she was cute.
My brother said: "Wouldn't that be funny if James(Me) went out with a black girl" in front of everyone, and my mom went further more on commenting, but I didn't care, because the chances were slim for me to find a black-girl I liked, but sure enough God has a sense of humor, and now I'm dating a haf-black girl; and I think it's awesome! |

| I'm done posting after this, then you can all talk with each other.
I really like this girl, a lot! She's cool, and she has a large amount of interests that are in common with mine. All around she's a wonderful person that I'm happy to have as a friend or more in due time, and I haven't been this happy for a long time, and I hope this continues to work out. Her name is Aleisa.

Anyway, whether or not he got the thrust of what you guys were saying, the times he's generally said it have been rather relevant to the topic, so not nearly as bad as you seem to be suggesting. That, and the fact that it's a big deal to his family, so even if that's not WHY he likes her, it's naturally going to be a salient characteristic of hers to him. |
