Oh, so thats why it said that at the end. I thought it was some special side quest I hadn't done. I never had the pleasure of dying and having that option.I only died once, but it said continue or load game.

I know that option shows up in both boss fights in Beast's Castle, because those are the two times I've died in a boss fight.

And Metal Knuckles, yes, I died 3 times in a row using that. AoE spam, no time to use a potion, and dead allies doesn't help you at all.

OK, so I need a bit of help. This is the dumbest thing ever, but I need one item so I will have every type of item for synthesis. I have never gotten an ice stone. I don't know why. I do run throughs of different worlds to level up and get synth items, but I have never gotten an ice stone. Anyone know of a good place to try to get some?

GameFAQs is your friend.

That said, from there, it says (for Goo, which is apparently what the stones are called in the Japanese version) that the Aeroplanes and Hot Rods drop them, and those appear in, among other places, Timeless River, through the doors there. Good luck. I'm off to do more synthesis item hunting myself.

Killed Sephiroth at level 72. Yeah. I know, I suck.

Spoiler:
Anyone figure out how to unlock the 2nd Paradox cup? (Cerberus)

I'm now at level 78 with Fenrir equiped. I've also opened every chest in the game.

Anyone notice how they misplaced a few item locations in the guide?

I don't have the guide, so I wouldn't notice that. Aside from a few things at the end of the game, recently, I've not used FAQs for this, and I'm much happier for it. I found a nice trick on the message boards to raising levels quickly late game.

Spoiler:
Equip the Gullwing keyblade and (not sure if this helps) equip the experience boost ability. Go to Pride Lands, get into critical health, go to the very top of Pride Rock, at some point after the second Pride Lands episode, through the King's Den. There should be a swarm of heartless there. Each one gives 168 experience with the boosts you're getting, which isn't that much...except that there are about 200+ of them and you can kill them quickly, especially with Magnega. I got from 64 to 75 in a pretty short period of time.

Hmmm...maybe I should as well. Especially since Sky didn't mark his last post right. I'm trying to scroll as fast as I can so I won't pick up on anything from it.

What do you mean I didn't mark my post right? If your browser can't see the spoiler tags correctly, that's not my fault. It works just fine in IE.

All the other spoiler tags work fine in lololol, but that last one that you made. Odd, really.

I think I'm near the end of the game and I should have it beat by Tuesday (if I have the time to do so).

I was disappointed in how short the game was. Only 34 hours on the game clock when I beat the last boss on Proud mode. Which, of course, I tried first.

What tended to annoy me was when you would fight any boss that could kill you, if there wasn't a save point next to where you are put from the "Continue?" option, if you decided to change around your abilities or your equipment to be better prepared for the boss, then lost anyway, you would have to do all the changes again when you continued.

Also.

Spoiler:
The first time with the Light Cycles game. The continue just Had to make you do skip scene twice with the quite long loading time for skipping scenes. Normally I'm quite patient about this sort of thing, but after more than a dozen tries any waiting time is hell.

But yeah, it was a really fun time. Obviously I have to go back and 'finish' everything, because I haven't even found out where Sephiroth is yet.

I died the first three times, but afterwards, I just kept using square only to win. I am able to get about a 40 on that minigame, which isn't much, but eh, the Gummi Ship battles are better.

Also, I can rack up a 300+ combo with Tron's Limit. Those tanks in that level are full of HP and help me rack up the combos.

I miss a lot of the side bosses though. That is probably why this game feels shorter... that and the fact that there aren't "waves" of enemies like in the first Kingdom Hearts.

Someone's evidently forgetting what might have been the biggest battle in an action RPG ever. And I don't think I need to say anything else to remind you of what I'm talking about.

I have the chance to beat the game now, but I want that "special ending". Urg, its gonna be a pain to do all those mini games. Plus I still need to get Sora's ultima keyblade (which is turning into another pain) and I want to hit lvl 99.

If you need tips for any of the minigames, GameFAQs can help, though some are still a pain, and I have some of my own tips as well, so be sure to ask. As for levelling up, as I posted a bit earlier...

You can get to 99 in not TOO much more time. The thing that annoyed me most was collecting synthesis items, and while I was doing that, doing minigames, and levelling up forms and summons, I levelled up from 75 to 93...yeah, that gives you some idea how long it took me to do that.

Completed the journal, beat the game, only to find I have to do normal mode.

I really don't want to have to use Stitch about 500 times to meet the reccomendations in the missions catagory.

This sucks.

Wait, you were playing on Easy mode? Considering how most of the game was on Normal, I image the enemies fall when you glance at them at that level.

No, I remember that. If they had that as a special battle you could access anytime, I'd be doing it over and over again.

However, since that isn't the case, there isn't a part in the game when you complete the worlds that... well, is like the Gizmo Shop from Traverse Town. You know, there were like... ten waves of different enemies there. That made battles longer, but was a nice way to see if you could survive.
